Celestial Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas, everyone! Even if you don't celebrate, it's a nice break from work/school, after all. I'm out of town but still have internet accessibility, which is great. Maybe I can finally finish Khrysalis Part 1 while I have time! Well, that might be a stretch. 

I've spent the early days of my vacation decorating and watching old Christmas movies. But today, it's all about my life wizard.

Three years ago, then-Grandmaster Tarlac visited the Floating Lands as part of his quests. 

Two years ago today, he happened to finish Zafaria.

Where is he now?

Ehh. Not that impressive, considering he was at Lake Nimue a year and a half ago. I'm just waiting for Alura to quest with him through Azteca (she and my Storm character Mycin have been lingering at the entrance of Ghost Avalon for months).

Since I don't feel like doing Ghost Avalon now, why not take a blast to the past? TO CELESTIA!

First star I see tonight, indeed. Time for the Stellarium!

Happy Holidays, everyone! I'm going to Illinois to visit my Aunt tomorrow, then to my Grandmas, so I'll be gone 'til New Years. Remind me to do my 2011 review then!

1: Charity Chrismoose: Didn't have the $$$ to buy, but nice idea from Kingsisle. Give it up for the pun & moose animation :P

2: Poem Contest: Nice prizes and brings out the poet in all of us. Cute :)

3: Free Light Strand: Buy - Pretty cool.. Free - WOOT!

4: Pack Sale: Hope those pet-trainers and Hoard-item-wanters got some joy out of this.

5: Arctic Ninja Pig: Awwwwww.

6: Holiday Decorations: Definitely my favorite, added to the fact it was all buy-able by gold, though I accidently bought 2 Snowmen with crowns.. bah. Thanks for the real tree and epic items!

7: Snowman Transformation: Probably the least exciting, but, well.. it IS free! Incidentally, the Mega Bundle at Blockbuster is a neat idea, they could use more business with the Netflix competition ... I'm getting off track, aren't I?
8: Candy Cane Mount: CHEAP! ... But crowns-only and I have enough mounts already. Sweet, nonetheless!

9: Free Nightcap: Useful for those new wizards.. I got mine last year :P
10: Boon Tree: Not sure what the Elder rewards are, but didn't seem worth it. Not charity and no extra seed drop? Sigh.

11: Mount Sale: Convenient for the beggars in the Commons, right? :P

12: Snowball Pet: Rock + Snow-shape = Snowball pet. Anyways, it IS cute, May Cast Freeze is an interesting talent too.

Happy New Year!

Posting this RIGHT at Midnight, woot! I'm way too busy to put pictures saying "Happy New Year" or anything right now, so I hope you can read through a long post with just text everywhere (I find myself nodding off reading things with just plain text sometimes, lol). ANYWAY, I'm back from Arizona, which was awesome.

Day 1: 5-hour flight, read Hunger Games the whole way, which is a great book, can't wait till I get the second. So, arrive at 9-something MTN time, forced into a huge family gathering at Uncles small house (lets call him Bob), watch people open a ton of presents, have a good time, find self nodding off, go to sleep at Midnight in hotel (which feels like 2AM EST, jet lag).

Day 2: Sleep late, watch A Christmas Story on TV and old Rose Bowls on ESPN Classic, go to other Uncles huge $Mil-dollar house (lets call him George), climb a small mountain by the house (great view) make Gingerbread houses (our group made a Tiki Bar with a drunk person throwing up outside (purple candy). The other made a church. Kinda different...), ate a fancy dinner, endless family chatter, go home tired again and fall asleep at 11-ish MTN time.

Day 3: Hotel TV watching, sad Christmas is over and, to be honest, I don't remember anything else that happened that day :P

Day 4: Go out for lunch, soon off to Uncle Bobs, watched TV there, then off on a long drive to some mountain near Tucson, many car games and chatter. Off on a 2-mile dirt road which feels like 1/2 an hour, arrive in the middle of nowhere, meet family friends. Arrive, wait for others who are murdering a duck, unload truck with chairs and stuff. Everyone is back, snacks finished, others off to murder multiple doves, I learn how to shoot a BB gun, pretty cool. Gets dark, I watch Bobs dog seek out the dead doves, who is gobbling a decapitated dove-head in the process ._. Next, its dark, very good stargazing available, family gathers to talk and eat, drive home, smells of smoke because of campfire, goes to sleep.

Day 5-8: Uncle George goes to the Alamo Bowl in Texas to eventually watch Arizona get beat up in a bowl game, me and mom get his HUGE house (woot!) to ourselves, I pig out on the endless snacks and watch huge TV for 3 days. Bowl games and Criminal Minds (creepy...), basically. Go to Bobs house on one of those days, have fun with cousins and with hyper-active dog. Today, woke up at 9 MTN (jet lag gone), off to a pit stop at a breakfast place (Cinnamon roll and sausages :D), say bye to Aunt, go through security, wait at gate for an hour, 5-hour flight (magazine and book reading), baggage claim, long Metro ride, walk home and now I've been up here for a couple hours catching up on the Wizzy blogs and watching ABC New Years thingy (I just learned Ke$ha is my least favorite singer). Popcorn, tweeting, watching, waiting, and its 2011!!! Lastly, here's what I got for Christmas...

• Wireless indoor helicopter (toy, mind you. Not very mature, but I've always wanted one xD)
• $30 Gamestop gift card and $20 Wizard101 gift card, going to pay the extra $10 for the Epic $40 Gamestop gift card soon ;)
• $10 and $20 Target/Walmart gift card (you know what I'm buying with those :D)
• Bible literacy book (you know what the TRUE meaning of Christmas is, right?)
• Sweatshirt
• Huge Peanuts 60 anniversary book, and soon a new backpack
• Gravity ball that supposedly looks like its floating with certain tricks. I'll watch the DvD with it and get the hang of that tomorrow

I also have a few more from my grandma which I'm waiting to open tonight (dad gets home later from a party) which I'm pretty sure are comic books, hehe.

New Years resolutions...

• Cut down the tweeting a little
• Spider Golem pet ('nuff said)
• All furniture for my MB house acquired
• Dugan and Tarlac = Legendary
• Get to be a little more techy with computers

Writers Block at the moment on other stuff, but anyway, have a great 2011 and let it not be filled with war and disasters. 358 days till Christmas!

Updates on wizards (12/21)

I'm a Pork Chopper! Yum! Awesome drawing of my nightlight, its just my face that looks a little different... but its a great drawing, I can never draw a W101 avatar of any kind. Thumbs up to John Spiritshade, as well as Alric Ravensinger who can draw madly too. Speaking of which, I went in with the NightOwls team in Miklai's race (visit http://sorceressmiklai-hexspellsvextales.blogspot.com/ if you don't know what I mean) vs. Malistaire with Tarlac, and so I have a 3rd Savior of the Spiral - sweet!

Nice hit Alric -as Isaac-! In another wizards news, Mycin crushed the Cephalopods Avatar and the Lunarium and is just starting the Science Center!

I got some crazy XP in this short period of time, and am almost LVL 57 (do I see Leviathan on the horizon?). Mycin is in no hurry, and is questing with Blaze Stormthief, a humorous wizard who is very fun to chat with at night (a nightowl himself, I'd say, we did this past Midnight while I was waiting for the eclipse). Look for a "huge" blog post from him soon for further info on his travels and our recent questing :).

...Didn't you know there was a Lunar Eclipse last night?

...From 1:30-4 in the morning, lol. I saw the '08 eclipse, but wanted to refresh my memory so I found a spot by a window and my binoculars. If you've never seen a Lunar Eclipse, its a little underwhelming, just the full moon becomes a half-moon in a period of about 1/2-1 hour and then is reddish for an hour or so. Next time I'll sleep through it, I'm sure, but it was still cool ;). What I really want is a Solar Eclipse, which is due in 2017 (why doesn't the US ever get one???) so I'll need to buy some really type of special glasses to look at that when I'm an adult. Lastly, go pick up your Silent Nightcap in-game now, its out for everyone! Did a little holiday-shopping yesterday, and I'm certain my dad got the $40 epic giftcard, woot! I also got several books, one which I read in 2-3 hours straight (Diary of a Wimpy kid if you must know, hilarious) and the other I get on Christmas (huge Peanuts 60 anniversary book :D). Nearly 3 days till Christmas, so, Happy Holidays!

I love those. What beats hauling it in on a cold night and decorating it? (then sleeping by it for the next 3 weeks, don't ask).

In Wizard101 news...
- I need 9 more Grendelweed and, eh, 27 more Springs, I think I used some of those on something else :/. But yea, I'm done with the Lotus, woot! Oh yea, its a Carousel I'm crafting btw.
- I finally have a bit of gold in my pockets, so I can afford everything I want to craft now. Next, I'll need lots buying/collecting the CL wands for each character from the Bazaar. Lastly, I crafted a Pot of Soup and it was a lot smaller for the price it was, oh well. Planning on Mycin-leveling too...





:D. Also, the 1st chance of flurries for me was tonight, but nada. Still jealous of most others getting it early :P (the snow was JUST south of us too. Bleh)

Merry Day after Buy Nothing Day!

And Charles Schulz's birthday! ;). Yesterday, of course, was Black Friday. I was at my Grandma's house and slept through the whole thing :P. There's actually an unofficial holiday called Buy Nothing Day - same day as Black Friday of course - so we all don't get greedy now, hmm? Anywho, look what I won at Mythspent Youth!































Gift List! 'Tis the season to be greedy, hehe. The Mana Elixir was won from another blogger, being saved for Tarlac's Mali run (he's only got a little bit of mana what with his healing rings). But look how good Chase fits on it. Sweet! I put it in his bank so the timer won't run out, as Chase is a standby character for a while here. Now for a little update on Mycin, he is almost LVL 54 and is almost in Stormriven! Just got to beat some palm trees for the Coruscade and do some cute little Platypus side-quests, I LOVE the Floating Land. But I said that already. Storm isn't the best at Celestia, as the enemies have got a lot of power, I'd say I fared better on Arlen, especially with those stupid *ahem* Ice mobs. REVENGE IS AT HAND, YOU WAVERUNNERS! >_<. So, right now I'm almost done crafting all the kitchen items in GH for Tarlac's house. I may have to transmute some Mandrakes, as those are pretty darn hard to find - best area is at the end of Collossus Blvd. That's what's been going on in Wizzyland, so I'll take you through my Thanksgiving now :) 8:30 AM - Wake up and go eat pancakes 9 AM - Finish (they had Chocolate Whipped cream this year, who knew there was such a thing?) and play games 9:30 - Watch Macy's parade, get into the Christmas spirit :P 11:30 - Last minute packing rush, go to grandma's 2 PM - Arrive at grandmas, procede to hang in the Den watching TV 4 - Thanksgiving dinner! Get... stuffed. *ahem* 4:30 - The WHOLE family takes a long nap. I don't think a mattress has ever felt better 8 - Wake up just in time for a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving 9 - Watch a bio of Charles Schulz on PBS (Happy B-day!) 10:30 - Hang in the Den again, look at TV 12 - After reading Calvin & Hobbes, go to sleep So, it was a really good day. Today, Auburn made a ridiculous comeback, which really didn't help >_< (I'm a die-hard Boise fan, and if Alabama had won, Boise likely would clinch a spot in the Championship game) and Oregon, of course, pulled away in the 2nd half over Arizona. Ugh. And now, Boise and Nevada are having a pretty close game - Boise's winning by 7 w/ 4 minutes left, not too good. Why? Boise needs 'style points' - winning big over #19 Nevada - to move up in the rankings past TCU. If your not a College Football fan, you may read over the previous section. Oh, and Michigan lost in College Basketball, really bad day in sports :/. Getting past that, there's nothing much I can say, except it wasn't a bad last 2 days at all excepting sports :). I'll end it on a good note, with one of my favorite Christmas songs

Nevada TD. Boise made a miraculous drive and blew it with a missed Field Goal with 1 second left. It's going to OT :(((. If Boise loses, expect me to be extremely bitter.

The FG kicker missed again. The Nevada one made it. Nevada won. Never mention this game to me again, or college football. *kills squirrel in anger*

... Forget about the WizardWars for a day, guys. I'm promising myself to only talk about happy stuff for a day :) - all this tweeting about Wars and drama IRL makes a person feel down after a while. First, it's November 13! Only 42 days till Christmas, yo! And 12 till Thanksgiving, how I love playing hoops in the mist, eating Chocolate Pancakes at the Church breakfast, watch the Macy's parade and have Thanksgiving dinner on that day ( not to mention the traditional football ) and then go to Grandma's, stuffed with Turkey. Then it's Black Friday ( commercialism of it makes me groan :-P ) where endless XMAS commercials and carols start, making me all the more happy and counting down every single second... squee! Then, New Years. Pacing the room watching the Ball drop is awesome, if were going to feel sad, why not have it be a letdown after New Years? lol, the endless 1/2 month happiness is starting to roll through and we spend it complaining about foreign politics. With that, I leave this simple statement: Be Happy. ( Happy ) Farming!

So, I just got home from school and ran to my computer, the last spell LVL 58 not yet discovered had very likely been discovered by now, I was sure :). A little mad the last one was the Myth one, and that Life ( which someone on Twitter dubbed "slow as syrup" ) beat Myth to their spell, I had gotten up early and seen the new Life one, but not yet the Myth one. Now that they all have been discovered, here's pictures and a video!
