Ice Will Suffice

Happy kind of late blogaversary to me! Turns out I pretty much share the honor with fellow bloggers Swordroll and Talon Thunderblade. Happy blogaversary to you guys too (but I'm still older!) Maybe I'll do more of a celebration next year besides just remembering the fact.

In other news, this new Winterbane house dungeon sounds exciting, and the final boss has 30,000 health. The idea of progressively going underneath a small cabin to fight monsters is a fun prospect - kind of like a  Journey to the Center of the Spiral (I wish). I shall attempt my hand sometime soon, and hope to get good loot. I've barely even touched Arlen in the last few months (sorry, main characters).

More importantly though, my ice character is trudging through Avalon at about as fast a speed as you can go for an ice wizard. It's a nice change of pace considering I rarely die anymore. That's never fun.

The past 10 days have taken me from defeating an inhospitable owl to making a surprise return to a Celestian-like environment. Sophia is also so photogenic, she just has to pose after defeating meanie bosses.

Wouldn't want to fall over the edge into that...stuff.

I sense a pattern here. Is this like a universal chant? Even Morganthe likes saying it.

Aaand we're skipping ahead to the Lakeshore. I'm fine with that.

It's hard to believe I was making a post centering around this 11 months ago. Nice to be dueling in the rain again.

One of the few bosses in a while that actually killed me. No sympathy, especially with that zombie-look thing going on after dying :P

I've been having a few connection issues now and then, but I can't complain when the mobs starting walking on the water.

This little guy just wanted to say hi or something.

This was the coolest thing that's happened with my periodic connection bursts. I actually got to walk around the Marleybone Cannon Game as my Mammoth.

Kind of a strange setting for a baby Mammoth I must say.

Infinite training points and accuracy?! :D

Sorry, target, not today.

Uhhhh...

Seriously, get some new lipstick.

Thus ends my recent progress, upgrading from the bottom of a lake to some underground caverns.
I plan to hold Sophia at Ghost Avalon once I reach the dungeon, and then do it together my Life character Tarlac once I renew my membership this summer. I'll probably quest a bit slower anyway with exams coming up.

Things are looking bright after that, though - I'll probably even venture into Pirate101 this summer. I should think I'd have even more post material with that.

Happy Adventuring!

Newbie News

So, I've been doing a bit of power-leveling and a teeny bit of running-around questing on my newbie account! Taken a lot of pics, of course.

Interesting. It seems Pots have replaced Short Square Vases in Dorms. Guess they want to give us a further head-start on gardening at LvL 12+

Sophia, as my only Ice wiz (besides the retired Pearlward) has gone first, hitting 18 doing the most questing, and is already close to KT. The others (except 2) are near 15 after joining MS Dungeon runs and are all set to advance to the 3 Streets.

I tend to be part of the Grammar Police, so I couldn't help but find this interesting. LOL, find the error yourself :).

One of the many animations I've encountered. Cool!

EXACTLY what real PvP trolls feel like. Egotistical, rude, will "prove" their point without any evidence, etc.

Tavia sporting her Contest Seahorse

1. I've found a couple errors in these "buy area" things, as you should be able to point out a #CassSpeak (should you ask, that is the special misspell alert named in honor of Cass Dragonheart :P) in there. BUT, it gets more interesting!

So, I exited that little brochure to buy Tatakai, and it let me walk down a road that feeds into there. Thing is, it let me keep walking.

So, I ended up in a big clearing quite like Oyotomi's Place, but a little wider and with Green Bamboo. And if you walk out, you end up in, well, Tatakai Outpost. Unless you mark your spot, you're basically trapped. Weird! I believe I came up on a video that showed this exact clearing, but I don't remember what its called (and, not surprisingly, the maker said it was "a secret". Not anymore, it isn't.)

Wise words from Wethersfield.

Another cool animation! Balance seems to fight and see all these random creatures from all schools in spell quests.

I noticed I was very close, so I sold a few teeny reagents to put it at the exact MAX number for no reason, xD. But there you go ;). I bought a Red Dragon so I wasn't uber-rich on Mycin anymore, and it will go well in a certain place when 'roaming mounts' come out.

Glitchy Seraph I passed by going to pick up some books. Seems to be raining glitchy white droplets O_o.

Except for Alura Dawneyes & Myrna Thunderslinger, I'm done taking them all through the MS Dungeons for gear & EXP to progress through WC/KT more easily. I won't be too sad if they ever take out 'power-leveling' in MS (they did in CL), but its helpful nontheless. Also, in the same Death Oni battle, Mycin got his 2nd wanted Gong of the Oni and Amy got a Dire Ghoul! Woot! Plus a neat Prof. Wu picture from Yakedo and various sweet gear for my newbies at 35/40 highlights the good drops. (Wavebringer continues to be stingy on the sweet Stormbat, but he dropped my second Bubbling Cauldron) And so today, I should get Alura and Myrna to LvL 15, then I suppose I'll do a lot of low-level mostly talking quests (not to mention Golem Tower) on the newbies so I can get my Balance & Death duos at the same point in quests. I might lessen my time on them after that, excepting taking them on bosses/dungeon runs I'm doing (like I seem to be getting a bit of Labyrinth askers lately, and I need some stuff in there!), but, we'll see. Plus, I've upgraded my wanted dream pet to: Pip O' Plenty, Feinting Spell, Spritely & Spell-Proof, and I just need to find someone with a pet with Feinting (Fierce Hounds can give it, so it shouldn't be hard to find someone) and mix a lot to hopefully in the end make an Egg with those, and eventually mix with my newbies when they get the gold, etc. I believe thats it for now..

Drunken Celestia, etc.

Hey Gang! Been pretty busy ITS lately. And yes, very weird title, I know. I combined a little what I'm posting about into it. Creative? Eh...

A little of my Floating Lands house a couple days ago. Kobe doesn't want to drown!

Dugan secretly beat Astraeus solo! :D it was pretty close

Check out how many drops...whoa.

And soloed the rest, woot. Very close to LvL 60, as I wanted to figure out how many side quests I should do to reach it at the right time.

Speaking of soloing, Tarlac went for the dive into the Hall of Valor! And came up with 2 new pets!
Can't find the Death Troll one... but anyway, I finally got lucky and got those 2, woot :D. Took down Jotun first, and I forgot my Death wand to take off Grettir's death shields (thank goodness I also forgot to take off my Reshuffle amulet! Hehe) so it took quite a bit longer.

Ah, good ol' Blue Bart. Fought him quite a bit, no luck with the Palm Shrubs -_-. I made a satirical Twitter for him if you want to follow, @Blue_Bart ;)

Apparently they're so drunk they can't see where they're going O_o.

If you've (um, why did this just go bold? Grrr, won't let me change it) been fighting in-game lately, you've probably seen some unusally red spells. Short-time glitch, I presume, which IS kind of fun! Blood Shark!
:O

Firebat fail..
Mycin is pretty Wild-Bolt happy lately, so I've noticed the red streak of lightning from that too. Blood-Bolt! Working hard on houses, plus Paige Moonshade (housing idol! :P) is hosting a big party tonight. Can't wait to see some inspiration for Mycin's Observatory.

Happy Soloing/Farming!

Furry's Fury

Lots as usual has been happening in-game!

Finally able to plant my 60 Pink Dandelions. I might have to use that rug trick to harvest some in the middle, but all in all they fit the aura for needs perfectly (only 40 energy, including the Rank 1 Pests away for 2 days spell)

Tarlac encountered a 'Preceptor of Contemplation' while questing. Someone translate that for me? :P

Tarlac & Tiger in the Science Center

I beat him easily... with a little help from a death henchman who took a LONG time to finish the job. Afterwards, "...I don't like honey anyway..." - YEA RIGHT! *psh* Poor loser...

Furry being summoned! Very original name, I know.

Little mini-glitch afterwards. He didn't want to leave ;)

RAWR! FEAL MY GREEN LEAFY FURRY OF DOOM! He's an awesome extra from 2 Centaurs, now just a Lifeblade and a Furry :)
If you're curious...

Questline there.
Lastly, Happy MLK Day! Its not just a day off from school!

Celestia - Pinnacles and more

I couldn't resist, here's another post of tips and The Pinnacles! First, a lesson in 'Criticals' from Diego

Neat, neat, and I got a free hat...

Gives me the 3% Critical, although it's not really worth wearing ;). Now, just some screenshots from the Promenade

My prefered deck construction for Myth! It's a quick 4-round fight, and you should cast an extra Time of Legend if the enemy has 1000+ health. And don't feel like a 'Noob' if you die, it takes time to learn new strategies against tougher opponents!

Floating shining heads! Gotta love that :)

Those Copper-people are harmless, they just walk the tunnels and such.

This is where I am now, gotta beat some Clawcutters in the other end of the Survey Camp ( pics next post ), and then Optio Agenor, Balance boss. And let's not forget side-quests after that! ( If you're curious, 2 dogs give side quests by those glowing heads ). The other part where you have to beat those Pincers is annoying, as the sealants are a tough drop :/ - Rescue some dogs, get some sealants and fix water leaks, meh. -

The Pincers use a Magma-Man spell sometimes, so here's the stats for you on that spell - - - 50 + 600 Damage over 3 rounds, 5 pips - - -. What else... Oh, I accidently marked my spot in Crab Alley a few days ago, and so today I saw that, so why not try and see if it works? It did! I invited a few friends, and it turns out a few other wizards had the same idea and were already down there O_O. If you don't mark your spot there, or teleport to a friend in Crab Alley, there's no other way to get down. I'm just hoping people don't make a ripping-off business out of that, saying stuff like "CARDS FOR A TRIP TO CRAB ALLEY!" etc. and then stealing peoples cards D:. Hope not! Well, Happy Adventuring! ( which will be my new endline till I finish CL ;D )
