Hall of the Gorgon, where its not too hard to get lost. Very pretty and spacious! And the satisfaction of defeating a snob helped ;)

Its like the gateway for those condemned to the lions in the Roman Colliseum, yet the rug, fountain (not pictured) and more closed-up arena give an air of fanciness. Nice design by Kingsisle to give both a view of feeling condemned walking down those dungeon-y halls yet the splendor is completely different.. I could go on ^.^

I probably liked Nalia the most among my opponents, not jumping to conclusion of victory, humble in defeat.. I hope Mirage comes first, I want to see more of those foxes over Goth Pixies and Goblins with pierced-ears (sorry, Weirwood). Or the flying squid world!

The Best ~

It would have to be the new furniture items. Even if you weren't splurging on the Wyvern Hoards, some were up in the Bazaar, among them Birdbaths, Chicken Coops, etc. Cutefied! I even filled a small spot inside and outside to completely finish my Island Getaway from Wyvern Hoard items...

A close second, probably the design that was Wysteria. The ominous

background music (thank you, Nelson Everhart), the delicated tile and building, there was just many new places that are hard to compare to others. Pegasus Park, the vines, the Dorms..

The Worst ~

Err, why the little Pet Page change? (btw, credit to Cass Hexthorn for the idea of this segment and the pic) Thats just wasted time spent changing that right there for Kingsisle, while having zero good advancements made. The only thing they need to work on there is changing more accurate rarities, and that wasn't even done. Its small, but its just taking a tiny step back.

Teleporters - Yes, I believed these were very nifty... so I splurged 10k crowns on the 6-Pack. Now I want a refund. The main complaint from my end is it not being trade-able. I've heard there can be issues if it IS tradeable, but what in the world is the point of the 6-Pack if you only have 5 houses (if you have the MFP and MSP) and 1 dorm at maximum? And it doesn't change too much walking, it sort of shows you how lazy we can all be somet

imes xD.

The Debatable ~

Obviously, for a main course, we have the Wyvern Hoard Pack dispute. I'm on the fence here, to be honest. To stray the subject matter a little bit, take the 1000 gold for 800 crowns deal. That, along with the other gold for crowns buys, are a complete rip-off, (25k gold for $27? Farming

can get you that amount in under an hour) but you rarely hear people complain about why those are in the Crowns Shop. "Then doesn't everyone just not buy them?" Not really, newbies to the game may think this is a great deal and buy it, but 1000 gold is very easy to get in Wizard101 these days. Plus, the total combined gold of what you sold from everything in a Wyvern Pack would be well over 1000, for only 400 crowns. Or, take the second-chance chests, there's a

chance at getting a piece of gear that sells for a bit for only 50 crowns. Anyways, what I'd do for the Hoards is, should you have plenty of crowns, buy 20-25 and completely stop after that no matter the circumstances. The Wyvern mounts would probably be 10k crowns if sold separately, and spending 8k is probably enough. Still, if you don't get the Wyvern (me..), you got plenty of little things (more energy gear, housing pieces, etc) and can sell the stuff you don't need for a bit of gold and be a bit satisfied, but pick a reasonable limit. Its an addiction, after all! I really want the Cloud Wyvern, but I've

reached that personal limit, so just moving on. And, after all, maybe its not as great as you think, take the Skeletal Drake - I got that on my 2nd Dragons Hoard try, was pretty excited, but its just uncomfortably large and takes up a bit of the screen. The Wyvern may be the same case, maybe try getting on in the next Test Realm -free crowns- and see how it actually feels to ride it. It may not really be good enough, and don't most of us have plenty of mounts anyway? Anyways, I'll cut it short, the Hoards aren't Vegas, but they've got their pros & cons.

Miscellaneous ~

These can be skipped over, the pet page is an example of a small miscellaneous update, but here's some opinions on the small ones that appear on the Update Notes:

Players will now see a confirmation window when they ignore a friend on their friends list - Good! There's been many accidental removings of friends, as Ignoring removes a friend, and we get a confirmation window to remove them, right? Good little fix.

School Symbols of Mobs/players now appearing besides them - Nice notice, and not changing it in PvP. Bosses with pretty long names don't have it all written down, is that part of the update or my Computer resolution? Might be my bad, but thats not very important anyways.

"Transaction Not Successful." -> "Sorry, this item has been sold." - A bit more simple... but, I noticed the number of reagents available didn't change when I bought some, and I had to refresh the page to see how many left again, which is kind of inconvenient. If this was bought on by the new sentence... this caused more bad than good for my Bazaar sniping.

Text Chat Dictionary slightly smaller/Angrus Hollowsoul no longer appears to load - Not sure which words were taken out of the Dictionary, but from the substitutes I've seen, there's always going to be a new way to say an obscene word. Hopefully they took out some big ones for the Trolls and peace may be a little better. Bad apples hurt the good ones, which is life, sadly. Angrus Hollowsoul, very minor update but lessens some annoyance when I sometimes walk through the Commons. It just makes me tic a little even though it matters none.. so I'm glad they fixed that.

Long post gotten to you yet? Sorry, I've had a lot to catch up on :P but I had fun for a week, and won't be going on anymore Vacations, although School restarts in 9 days. Good luck to those starting in the upcoming week! To close, it was nice to hear about the further Wizard101 expansion into foreign areas, as the largest country in terms of population joined hands! I hope it goes over well there and attracts many new players, so it will be interesting to see the commercial for China and if anything is different there. The British servers whole Wizard City is free, I believe, with several other minor differences from our main one, so you never know.

Ah, More Rooftop-Running! :)

Yes, I'm still alive, just a computer malfunction. 15 days.. thats a record I don't want to break any time soon. But, I've got a spiffy new free one (warranty!), so I'm back in business as of yesterday. Those goals earlier in the month, quite a bit too much now, but I hope to capitalize on at least a couple.

With many things to load, you may encounter things like this. My current project, taking a break from much Housing, is Tavia & Tristan, the Balance Duo. Tavia now stands at 27, Tristan 26. I'm doing zero side quests (excepting Zeke and spells), as I plan to see if doing Wintertusk will be enough to get to 60. If not, I'll just do a couple WT side-quests. Side-quests are kinda overrated :P and I've made a bit of progress in 1 day, from the beginning of the Hall of Champions to the end of Chelsea Court!

1. Catch-up (saw the new house-items *SQUEE!*), restart gardens - thankfully, I had hardly any casualties there. Good plants!

2. I went from the middle of Sunday afternoon to the darkest hours of night questing the Duo to Marleybone (and ok, fooling around with some Skype night-owls). The Krokosphinx brings back old memories of my IRL friend racing through that part. Going to see him for the first time in 2+ years next week too! :D

3. Grizzleheim. I've figured its probably a bit less tedious going through around the right levels, so I spent a while beating Savarstaad Pass last night after Krokotopia, and today, Vigrid Roughlands/Frostholm, right after Tristan hit 25. Giving Sandstorm a lot of action, with Spectral Blast squirming in for Boss-beatings. Very soon, it will be Judgement! ^-^ Hey, maybe I'll try some PvP once Tristan gets it.

So, going into Tavia, I got the Bolt Blade and Meti Karanahn Statue in Karanahn Palace! Also, I randomly realized I hadn't seen the smaller KT House - Oasis Camp - in ages, so I previewed that and was surprised by how little I remembered. Its small, but a great house for an archaeology/camp theme, so I bought it on a 10,000 gold-costing whim. But, they both have around 50k gold, not many problems.

Into the Dragon's Hoard and Furniture News..

Many new & existing (note KT statues. For some reason, I farmed Khai Amahte over a 100 times for his Statue. Now..) furniture pieces arrived in the Shop! You can see some of them here if you can't log on. I splurged on the Kimono to complete my collection, a Well, and the small Moodha statue to further light up my nearly-completed Mooshu house. I'm sure I'll get all the KT ones soon, as well. The suitcase was a must to spice up my MB Bedroom too! Plus, I'll have to try those dramatic masks soon. Oh, its like a Houser's dream.

Also, the Dragon Hoards are now half-off! No, really - I'm shamelessly buying too many again, my crowns on second account dropped by a few thousand. I got 3(!) Dragon Wings, Sea Dragon pet, and just about all level 20 gear you can get, among other things. Can never get those spiffier Dragon pets, whats up with them? I'll probably splurge a little again for the 60 sword and those pets soon :P. Buy more while you can, and try not to become hopelessly addicted to them.

Next time, I'll share the long Fiction I wrote for Summer English (hey, it got me into Honors) which has to do a lot with Marleybone. That should show how much I enjoy going through it. To the Ironworks!

FOGgy Prizes!

Hey everyone :) as you can see, my pretty much completed MFP/DS is in the above video. Big House. I'll buy that DS Craft Crowns Table thingy when I get the MSP Pack later. I think I'm getting it in about 2 weeks, after the Summer School? Thats half-way over. We'll see.

So, I've actually done a little bit on Dugan, my Fire wiz. Does anyone remember the Giving Tree? Yeah.. I just planted that on him.. *blush*. So, now I have a Parsley Garden on Arlen (and 2 Couch Potatoes I won from Diana Wildheart! :D), 2 Prickly Bear ones on Mycin (some turned Elder this morning :)), an almost-done Pink Dandelion plot on Tarlac (once I have enough Black Pearls), and a small Giving Tree/several Pink Dandelion garden on Dugan. I've cleaned out his storage-KT House and put a couple things in to start it off, actually, as well. Plus I'm still trying for a little Yardbird item right now. LOL. Not much else going on in-game there. In-game, that is :P

2 big items I've received from www.KIFreeGames.com! :D the Lightningbat was from a Twitter code they gave out, but you can only redeem one of them once a month. A little long, hope they will change to at least a week.. although one person got 600 crowns! o_O :D also, I've won a FOG Unicorn (3!), Blue Raptor Sword (uber-cool looking, definitely stitch worthy), and that wand above, among other things. Well, HERE'S a list of prizes you can get, to be honest. And HERE'S a list of Magazine codes, many being available from KIFG prizes. Doodle Dug is probably the quickest by far, lol. I just want a Shardtail Dragon on main account and FOG Unicorn for Storm newbie on 2nd account now, played a lot the past couple days.

Not much other news.. I'm going to work on Ravenwood Radio Episode #41 transcription a bit more, soon. Its fun to get involved in the community :) remember to give KBB a ring if you want to get involved! It takes a while, buts its very helpful to some wizards. Have a good end-of-the-week!

Half-Year Goals

.. But first, a short little Housing Showcase!

I spent a little time at Angel Winterbreeze's Party, and glitch-rugged places like this were pretty amazing.

This is the Island way up on that hill you can't go up.. until Angel did.

Plus it took a while to just get up here without falling. Right by the Taj-Mahal type roof. lol.

So, onto the subject of the title, I've gotten the idea from IcyWiz & Newsweek, so I figured, why not set some goals for the upcoming half-year?

• Finish 4-5 houses (3 nearly completed)
• Get Balance & Death duo to Legendary (Ultimate Legendary, as ze Goldhorn put it)
• Get a 'perfect pet' in stats.
• Become Warlord in PvP (okay, this probably isn't too likely, but maybe)
• Transcript at least 5 RR episodes
• Make a music vid out of a 70's song :P
• Get all best gear for Legendaries

Thats what I can think of right now, and thats probably enough, seeing as I have more cut out for IRL with High School this year xD

Lastly, of course, Happy 4th. Going down to the Capitol later for fireworks :D I got my new iPod all ready too. Here's for a great upcoming 2nd half of 2011!

So, about that hatching picture, I'm close to 3/4 completion of a perfect Boss pet! Currently training a Fierce Hound on Sophia, got Spell-Proof at Teen, and will be Adult first thing tomorrow, with, very likely, Spritely or Feinting. And 50/50 it'll end up as an Ancient Feinting, Proof & Spritely pet :D. Though, as I've said my last want talent is 'May Cast Tower Shield'. Thats a rare one. Blech. I've got a friend with the many of the only pet with the talent, Vigilant Dragon, who may train some up soon, though. So, I'm getting there :). The Pale Maiden was from a hatch with a Central Member who had Feinting on it, plus I now have one for my DS House, lol.

In Housing, I got the Headmaster Statue after a little bit, but have zero luck with Labyrinth Statues atm. I've gotten several Kraken Statues over time from the Silver Sentinel in the past, so there might be one in a bank somewhere. The main enemy is that loose Storm Boss (it'll come to me.. not the.. gah, WHAT ARE THEIR NAMES?) but anyway, he drops the Wyrmkin Statue. I've seen plenty of people with it, but I've fought him uncountable times and nada. JUST ONE, I ASK! Hopefully I'll have that luck tomorrow. But its just one item, sir annoying Storm Boss who I always forget the name and often forgets my Storm Prisms. A little to do with Housing, I'm making a little Gardening comeback, as I made 2 big plots of Prickly Bears for Mycin and am planning, just need to follow through, on a King Parsley garden on Arlen. Well, that DS Farming isn't a total waste. At least I don't have to craft anything for a while, except those Jade Chairs, right?

Feint Ideas

Hey everyone! So, I'll cut the real life stuff short, but I got an iPod and some small stuff. Plus I'll probably get the $40 MSP Pack after my Summer School thing, which is going fine. Gamestop is one of the reasons I can't wait until I'm 16 - getting a job there xD. Speaking of High School, there's a party in the works for those going into it next year next month, so I'll remember to remind everyone as that date comes. It actually feels a lot better than Middle School. Also, thanks everyone for the Birthday wishes and glad the Ravenwood Ball was a smash! Now for some in-game news :)

I finally got this talent for a pet which will eventually prove helpful in tough boss battles/when a new world comes out again - its stackable! The first talent on this guy is Spritely, so I'm finally getting there. I just want Spell-Proof, which is in this pets blood too (though several selfish talents also..) and Sophia has it so I can always hatch. The problem though is the last talent I want... May Cast Tower Shield. Not many have it. So, I'll try asking around for that later on. Perfect Pet Project = Progress! Also speaking of pets, I'm sure you all have seen the Patriotic Leprechaun out, which was expected. Apparently no 4th of July vendor though.. darn. Isn't it funny how pets like the Gobbler are much more expensive than the most recent ones, yet the recent pets have better talents? xD Then again, the older pets look a little cooler. I also could use a couple for my DS House.. oh, have I mentioned..

Woot :). I spent a day walking around it, gathering ideas, and slowly completed it. Well, maybe a couple Boulder-guard pets would do, as well, now that I think about it. But its technically completed :P. I did what I could with the small place - I liked how I mixed the Celestian picnic area in the inside, and it took a long time to craft all those Palm Trees outside. Now, 3 nearly done! Come on, Tarlac's garden. I won a Diseased Wildclaw (crowns) from Yakedo in the Crimson Fields, so I just need 2 pets and 1 furniture item in my Dragon's Fjord now! They're small, but I'm kind of a perfectionist ^_^. In the DS House, I still need to start that one room inside, and I'm currently farming for a 2nd Oni Statue for outside the PvP ring, so after that, the outside might be done. Just that room and some pets besides that, I guess. Hmm, after those I guess is my KT Oasis I haven't started, on Dugan, and my MSP when I get it, of course (2 deserts! Aye). Shouldn't shoot ahead though, but thats a good goal by August. Mmm... thats it. TO KATIA FIREWINTER!

Hey everyone. I'll be gone till Monday, and I start my little Summer School thing then, so a little less time playing. Hopefully no HW, though :).

For my Birthday, (yes, its on the Ravenwood Ball - remember to attend that, right?!?), I got a couple comic books, a baseball, and a few dollars already, but I think I'll get 2 other things on the 25th, which is my actual one after all :) can you say iPod & $40 Epic W101 Pack? Woot! At least I hope. LOL. Anyways, its going to be fun going to Grandma's again too. Running low on time, so I'll do a quick update on my Wizzy Status this week:

Like Maniac Magic's periodic 'Night Mode' in the Spiral, similar things happen to a spell once in a while on mine. I found the Dark Tempest cool ;).

This style floor is a new one.. it reminds me of something in the Krokosphinx, especially with those Ice Spiders. Ah, memories.

You should hear her voice too xD. 4 floor Tower, so I fought her 20 or so times, no luck on the Crowns Gemcutter Table. Appears that I'll buy that later when I have crowns again. But, I did, after awhile, get 2 Hydra Statues & 2 more DS Sarcophagus (almost in a row after a long drought, too!), so I'm even closer to completion on the DS/MFP House. Doing awesome, also crafted some Wyrm Bookshelfs/Bed for a room as well :). In my MS House, I went down hard on Akuji with friends, and one got the Stone Sarcophagus I needed, but sold it to me. Yay! So the outside is finished, I'll buy the Wu pic for a few crowns, and now I just need to wait on my Pink Dandies for all those Jade Chairs to craft *whistles impatiently*. Lastly, I spent just a little time looking for ideas on my Island Getaway inside (Outside is basically done), and made a Ruined Library and may have down an idea for the little Bedroom. So, I'm nearly done on 3 Houses. Sorry for the anticipation! :P

Okay, I gotta run.. am hoping my Birthday goes well, and you all have a great Ravenwood Ball. Would totally attend if I could, but, oh well.

So, most had a great time at Luke's party tonight. Those candles above the piano creeped me out when I first came in. LOL.

I was busy IRL so I missed the contests, but oh well. I met plenty of aspiring bloggers at the party, which was a highlight. The Red Carpet looked pretty, especially since we could invade it after that showing :P. And Timothy Lighttalon's is tomorrow! Whoo.

Also my support goes out to The Evil Theurgist and the Jester fiasco, I do think Central is very strict sometimes and that Evil Theurgist deserves credit for the original reagent maps, instead of this. Central is a great place to get info, but I'm ticked at the creators too, as they often ban others for something not even in the rule book. Am still going to be going over to Evil's blog for the Reagent Maps, and not Jesters "better-looking guide". But, I don't want to get *too* involved in more drama (aka Skype xD).

IRL, I should have a week without anything to worry about, so more Wizard101 time! :D my teeth still feel funny after yesterday's pulling of 6 of them (very painful) though, but they're healing. Its an excuse to have more Ice Cream (soft foods for a couple days /:) after all, LOL.

In other Wizard101 advancements, I got a DS Sarcophagus (finally) item from Vasek, but I still need more :P if only I could gift them from Sophia! I did the Waterworks twice, the first being an everyone-has-to-leave-before-the-final-boss problem, so I didn't get that finished, but its understandable. The 2nd time, 2 wizards had computer problems (both Theurgists, no less!) so I made the final boss on my Storm, Mycin, and friend Jennifer Dreamsinger (Ice). Both of us died once in the battle but came back quickly and triumphed, a fun challenge! I got nothing for the 3rd straight time (after getting needed gear on 2 characters perfectly on the first 2 tries xD), but friend got her Ice Robe, so wasn't a huge waste. I plan to do a run or 2 tomorrow hopefully, after going biking in the morning. As for the new Sandman pet, I gotta say it looks pretty wicked, but I don't have a reason to buy it xD if only Kingisle would put it as a boss drop.. if it isn't. Spirit of Nature pet hasn't been found as a boss drop either, so I'm skeptical, as I would they would drop from somebody, but maybe its just a really low drop rate, too. Oh well. I'm pretty anxious for the 4th of July Leprechaun and possible Ice Beetle too, lol :). Oh, and I almost forgot, for those who haven't seen it, (plus pictures are never good enough :P)

Almost There..

First off, I made a new Summer theme change! Please note if there's any problems reading, feedback, whatever. I like the serene-ness :).

Speaking of Summer, I have 1 day left till I'm FREE! :P all I have to worry about now is a stupid Math packet & a small 3-week Summer School thing starting the 27th, but I think its 4 hours with 14 days going so won't be too bad, besides, it will be easier to start High School next fall (one good thing is it being a mile away -walking downtown- and a McDonalds next to it xD hopefully I'll make some friends too). Short story short, I'm pretty darn excited. The 16th I'm getting 4 teeth pulled and don't have to go to school, so. Anyways, as this is a Wizard101-blog, I seem to have an urge to work on my MFP lately with the Dragons Hoard Pack coming out (one hint: the House's theme is in the time when the Dragon Titan is taking over, battlefields, etc), so I'm having fun making a couple areas of that. One problem is me wanting quite a few DS Sarcophagus items, but they cost a few Crowns. They do drop from Vasek Ashweaver in the Grand Chasm, but a couple months ago I fought him around 50 times and nada. I could use some King Parsleys for a future garden too though xD. For Mycin's MS House, Tarlac's Pink Dandelion Garden is helping bring in the Black Pearls for those Jade Chairs to craft, but I've had no luck with some other furniture dropping so far. Sophia, I guess, is on hold at the moment, a Rank 9 Gardener, btw.

Lastly, I went to the trouble of downloading LotRO yesterday, but after I log in: "Can't open the data files. Check that they exist and that you have permission to write to them. The program will now exit. {201}" so apparently, it doesn't work, this computer or something. Darn! I wanted to see some cool game scenery :P. Time to get farming for some furniture, see ya after school's out! :D
