Mali Cutscene Vid, And More!

Pretty, huh? I was a part of one of the first 2 groups to finish. It was pretty cool! I'm glad its not an overwhelming update, personally, as I have a lot to do in the Live Realm. Also, I get to train pets for Petnome and myself :D. That pretty much sums up the update. You can't press 'X' in Malistaire's Lair, as in, you can't go in the Ambrose Portal or use his Second-Chance Chest, but I bet Kingsisle will fix it. Send in that bug report, if you can. I especially like the purple-beams Mali shoots out at one point in the vid. Credits to friend Ben Frogstone! (points for the Portal music :P) Now, for my in-game news :)

As most of you know, this is my latest House, the MFP/DS combo, when the battles are taking place, and the sky isn't all blood red yet. I like how its turning out, and doing a bit of farming for items. Can't wait to finish!

While farming for a Statue, these guys pips creeped me out at one point, LOL.

I did the WW 2-3 times over the last few days, and got Mycin's Robe! I personally think the 58 Storm Boots are just as good as the 60 WW Boots though, which I just realized, so I just need my WW gear on Tarlac & Dugan (Sudrilund Hats crafted, so Boots & Robes). This pic was the end of a Luska Charmbeak battle last night, for one round 3/4 of us were Treants. ROFL. At the end, we got a little confused about when it was Blade/Trap time and made a couple of errors (Spellhammer's Scarecrow twice, Sylster's Power Ra once :/) but we somehow all were there at the end and recieved something, despite a lot of dying and coming back xD always learning some things, right?

Something I encountered after dying in the WW (eventually coming back & winning, though, of course), the Commons got a little messed up. LOL, I liked it though.

And lastly, in the TR, Mycin sporting some weird clothing for Energy xD (Beastmaster Hood, Hoard Robe, Baconator Boots). Going to train some stuff for Petnome, like I said, and seeing what stats a Pixie gets right now. Farming for another Statue at the moment, the Boss isn't happy to give away a second one, lol. And in the MS House, I'm gaining Black Pearls little by little from Tarlac's Garden for all those Chairs, I haven't forgotten about it!

Party (On Friday? Oh, No..)

So, most had a great time at Luke's party tonight. Those candles above the piano creeped me out when I first came in. LOL.

And, to finish the night, I was chased off by Jaws o_o.

I was busy IRL so I missed the contests, but oh well. I met plenty of aspiring bloggers at the party, which was a highlight. The Red Carpet looked pretty, especially since we could invade it after that showing :P. And Timothy Lighttalon's is tomorrow! Whoo.

Also my support goes out to The Evil Theurgist and the Jester fiasco, I do think Central is very strict sometimes and that Evil Theurgist deserves credit for the original reagent maps, instead of this. Central is a great place to get info, but I'm ticked at the creators too, as they often ban others for something not even in the rule book. Am still going to be going over to Evil's blog for the Reagent Maps, and not Jesters "better-looking guide". But, I don't want to get *too* involved in more drama (aka Skype xD).

IRL, I should have a week without anything to worry about, so more Wizard101 time! :D my teeth still feel funny after yesterday's pulling of 6 of them (very painful) though, but they're healing. Its an excuse to have more Ice Cream (soft foods for a couple days /:) after all, LOL.

In other Wizard101 advancements, I got a DS Sarcophagus (finally) item from Vasek, but I still need more :P if only I could gift them from Sophia! I did the Waterworks twice, the first being an everyone-has-to-leave-before-the-final-boss problem, so I didn't get that finished, but its understandable. The 2nd time, 2 wizards had computer problems (both Theurgists, no less!) so I made the final boss on my Storm, Mycin, and friend Jennifer Dreamsinger (Ice). Both of us died once in the battle but came back quickly and triumphed, a fun challenge! I got nothing for the 3rd straight time (after getting needed gear on 2 characters perfectly on the first 2 tries xD), but friend got her Ice Robe, so wasn't a huge waste. I plan to do a run or 2 tomorrow hopefully, after going biking in the morning. As for the new Sandman pet, I gotta say it looks pretty wicked, but I don't have a reason to buy it xD if only Kingisle would put it as a boss drop.. if it isn't. Spirit of Nature pet hasn't been found as a boss drop either, so I'm skeptical, as I would they would drop from somebody, but maybe its just a really low drop rate, too. Oh well. I'm pretty anxious for the 4th of July Leprechaun and possible Ice Beetle too, lol :). Oh, and I almost forgot, for those who haven't seen it, (plus pictures are never good enough :P)

What could I ask for? SWEET talents. I hatched with Paige Moonshade who had a Spritely/Spell Proof (and Durable, hopefully that will stay away :P) Fierce Hound. Proof, Spritely & Pip O'Plenty are 3/4 of my 'want talents', last is Feinting Spell which I'll hopefully hatch for later. Can't wait to train him tomorrow. Miss Gracie is a very nice Wyvern!

On the first try! I'll eventually take it off for a Sudrilund crafted hat, but its good for now :)

Got Sophia's Hat & Shoes, Arlen's Shoes on the first try and Sophia & Arlen's Robe on the second, so, success! I also got the Baconator Shoes on Arlen, woot :D. Sophia looks like a nerdy librarian, haha. I did a 3rd today on Tarlac with some others on a fun run, talking with them on Skype and my first without dual-boxing 2 accounts (annoying IMHO :P) but didn't get anything of use :/ (except the usual Mega Snacks and a bit of gold) but trying again more tomorrow, probably.

I passed this on a wacky rug-glitchy MFP, and the view was just... well, wacky! It was pretty darn cool, so it was pic-worthy.

Thought this was interesting in Luska Charmbeak's Lair. She's a fun boss, and no minions. Drops the WT Hats. There's an awesome guide by a very nice friend of mine from Central that I'd recommend if you have trouble with the Waterworks bosses. Fun challenges IMO :D

Finished Science Center on Sophia, and this was a common message. But, they were my first big experiences with mobs & Snow Angel, so I've figured out a good, quick strategy. Crustacean Empire tomorrow, maybe. IRL, my Grandma is making the journey here tomorrow, which is a fun surprise, we always go to see her xD. Be fun to show her the house and everything, plus I've got the Waterworks to do of course, so tomorrow should be pretty fun. And, lastly, me & Mistheart recorded for the Lounge Wizards podcast today, so you can hear my fuzzy (technical issues :P) voice and his talking about the game in the 2nd episode HERE. The turnout wasn't bad, but we're doing recorded sessions till we get the hang of it as RR first did. Its a pretty big deal, so I'll possibly talk more about that. Oh, and Judgement Day passed with hardly anything uneventful at all. I wasn't really worried, but the fun thing is to see the believers' reaction tomorrow to that, lol. I'm religious and all, but as a scripture says, "only God knows the exact date", and all these weird mathematics to prove today will be it is kinda ridiculous. But, this is a W101 related blog, so I'll stop now. Have a good week!

Analysis On WT Pets

Hey, everyone! I'm watching a replay of the Royal Wedding as I write this. Yeah, I love England, deal with it :P. Its just a wedding, but a person just turned from a commoner to a princess, but most of all its an excuse to be happy xD. Congrats Will & Kate.. anyway, lets get down to business. Hybrids of 58 pets are being discovered left and right now, so if you are curious, click HERE (complete credit to Deathshard and Kelsey Fireheart!). If you don't want little spoilers, don't look at the following paragraph of my analysis :P

MINI SPOILER ALERTS IN FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH

Ok, here's my thoughts on the ones discovered so far!

-Topaz Kraken- I think this one is the Judgement/Kraken mix, but it says Phoenix, either that or a misprint, I have a hunch. Its sandy color and has a Balance-like name, so. Anyways, sweet, I can see this coming out of a Sandstorm or Quicksand! :o

-Ice Kraken- Looks just like I thought! I can see it coming out of the polar ice caps and attacking

a poor ship :P

-Fire Wyvern- I can just see its neck fur as a cozy rug ;). Looks like it would have a spicy taste... MOVING ON!

-Forest Crawler- Creative (creepy) name, I can see it sneaking up on me. VERY cool!

-Thunderbird- Phoenix pets are hard to see, but this one looks dangerous and electric!

-Shadow Phoenix- It looks like its coming out of a black hole o_O. Hope you don't see a group of these, or it will be a MURDER of Crows! Heheh..

-Fiery Judge- Looks like Icarus at first thought, women version. He's a fellow from greek myths who wouldn't listen to his father about flying too close to the Sun with wings..

-Astral Judge- Reminds me of Limes xD. *DING* Awesome!

-Flame Toad- Did he step in some mud and get a huge sunburn? Imagine this thing as a meteor crashing down on the Earth, like it does in its spell animation xD.

-Frosthopper- I'm running low on awesome words.

-Gloom Toad- Hehe at the name.. and awesome logo on its back! Like to scare away predators ;P

-Tundra Warden- Ice Scarecrow, interesting! Lets see this in WT :P

-Stormcaller- Like the ones in Haunted Cave, not surprised there. But, storm symbols!

-Crop Watcher- Looks like its growing right out of the dirt, haha.

-Inferno Beast- He sure looks angry O_O

-Cloud Beast- Looks just like an Ice Forest Lord in WT boss, named Aurekk. I saw a picture of him and HUGE. SNOW GORILLA! :O

Okay, I'm almost done, so here's a little update on Sophia:

That says most of it :D. She finished the Ancient Burial Grounds, then today the Village of Sorrow. LvL 43 and about to start the Tree of Life now, which I'll do soon. I've decided I'll buy GH & WT for the 2nd account, as WT is incredible, need GH to get there, and I'll need to buy an area or 2 for the 58 quests anyway. So, hopefully tonight after MS, I'll do GH questing on her. Grinding but peaceful are good words for GH :). And I really want to get on a questing rage - would like to duel-box when the Waterworks come out and WT, so I really would have to get devote time to Sophia questing. We'll see how long it takes.

I don't think KBB would mind me saying, but I'm starting work on RR transcriptions and just contributed a little (although it sure takes a long time just to do 10 minutes :P) on Episode 38. Thats a great thing to do for the community :).

Lastly, you've likely heard, but there's a plagiarist in our midst, no naming, but hopefully this wizard will clean up their act, as plagiarism is a very serious offense (keep in mind - this wizard is giving ZERO credit to most posts he/she does to the original author). I just hope he/she understand, apologizes and acts less lazy. Remember - plagiarism will lose you followers. Ok, have a great weekend folks :)

Gear Versus (And My Attempt On Announcing Without Spoiling)

FIRST off, I went mini-golfing, boring shopping (2 Stores didn't have W101 cards that should. Ugh), watched TV, etc. over the past couple of days, so I had fun and am now back to find out that Wintertusk is in the TR! I couldn't help but read up on the new gear drops and check some out myself, but I want to completely have the quests/areas as a surprise when I do it in the LR.

So now, I am faced with some tough decisions on gear..

Those are my options of hats (go to the link and pause it).

IMHO, 'Tricksy Hood' beats 'Illusive Headdress' (my current one) and 'Poetic Chieftains Helm' beats 'Tricksy Hood'. So, Chieftains Helm it is!

I don't have pictures of the other Waterworks 60 gear, so I'll continue my 'VS. gear' next time. I love the Crafted Boots look, though, but the Myth Crafted Boots stats don't quite beat the 58 gear. Here are some small but GREAT miscellaneous updates:

Statues are no longer "Limit 1"

(perfect for us housing geeks! YAY!)

Many spells that are variations of the original will now look more like they should - ie the Life Banshee will be green and not look like the Death Banshee. Look for these updates in various spells.

(Can't wait to see some of these examples :))

Ice Colossus Spell will have its damage increased from 460-540 to 500-580.

(Sophia is about to get this - GOOD!)

Empower cards can no longer critical.

(Nice relief :P)

Accuracy and damage enchantment cards can now be applied to Drain spells.

(I was thinking of this the other day, and am really glad to see this. Death duo will love that)

Pierce now cost 0 pips.

(Woo, maybe I'll use this more :D)

School Mastery Amulets are now available as drops from boss creatures in Wintertusk

For Crab Alley, I'm going to wait and be surprised at Sunblade's request for Initiates. I am quite curious, but must wait..

For the special 'Waterworks', a new kind of Briskbreeze, I'm itching to try it. Many tricks up those bosses sleeves, so I'll read up on that carefully before I try in the LR. 2 Mastery Amulets, 60 Gear, Mega Snacks and even more are said to drop there! WOW!

As for Wintertusk and the new spells, I won't spoil them if you don't know. (GASP, ____ Minion) For wand-stitching, I plan to buy that LvL 45 1-regular-pip Myth Wand, which looks exactly like the Arcane Staff, I think (but waste 2500 crowns??). If you look closely, it has several monster heads (Trolls & Cyclops) and hopefully Myth logos spew out of it like the Arcane. If not, I'll go for that Raven Myth Hammer :).

Now, I prep up to craft some WT Gear, the Waterworks, and that Violin item that Torald Wayfinder now sells. (Have you visited him in Northguard? He also sells a Decorative Gong, I used to be a Violin player and it is similar to the Antique Cello - AWESOME!) I hope that wasn't too spoil-y for you guys. I'll try to be back tomorrow or Friday to post (if Friday, give my best wishes to the Royal Couple - I actually want to see that, yes xP)
