A Seal From Sothkethup

Hey Gang! Mycin beat the Lunarium last night

(Thanks Paige!)

And quested a long time to beat the Science Center. <- Phoenix FTW

Also soloed Acastus Hexfin like Tarlac! Took 2 tries :)

Glitch...

:O (5 health, heheh)

Hmm...what for?

A seal from Sothkethup -or whatever your name is-! (I can't remember his name for more than a minute, lol). He was fun, long, but fun to fight. I wish I could duel him again! Bah.

I notice a typo on the Quest :P

Yea...not the best pic. (check out gear, btw. Only stitched the Hat :))

W00t! Dunno what to name him. Alex? (thats the closest thing to Aladdin that I can think of...)

Taking out Mako and first cast :D

And, of course, I crafted that truly!

In the process of a little beginning decorating. Awesomeness :). Dugan just has the Chancel and TotS to go now. Happy Farming!

CL Housing going LIVE

"Wizard101 will be offline tonight from 3am to 6am* Central US Time for regular scheduled maintenance. This downtime is to allow for the updates currently on the Test Realm to be made into the Live Game." (-continue with all the obvious 'not allowed to log in during time' stuff here-). WOOT Finally! Lets see, about 4 weeks? Longest TR yet, guess Kingsisle is busy with other things. Can't wait to buy the houses, been holding about 200,000 gold for a long time. So, its actually going to be a good Monday ;). Dugan is almost at Efreet, staying up a bit to quest in the Science Center on him, he may have it tomorrow just FYI! Happy Farming!

*Note: Thank you to Alric for pointing it out on Twitter (and I'm the first to blog about it! xD)

So Close, Yet...

I TRIED to solo Briskbreeze. I tried.

4 people? Heck no!

Angrus. Sounds like an angry Burger.
Forest Lords killed off all the minions, no problems with them :D. No pics, but here's the deal: I died when Orrick had 2,000 health left yesterday, and had more buffs today but he overwhelmed his doggy police on me, just a couple turns before his death was due. Sigh. I don't know if I want to try again Sunday...MAYBE :P.

Evil Furnace.

I logged on very late to do some quick Wizzy errands, but Fallon's party was STILL huge! I joined the end, the Flash Mob practice, teehee :D

We impressed some folks in the Commons for awhile with KBB's commands to Dance & Clap and adjourned. Very fun, I went to sleep later then I thought :P. Other than this, Mycin's Spinyfish is almost Adult and I beat up Kensington Park a couple more times for the heck of it. Got my 3rd Carved Pew and some gold :). That's it... Happy Soloing!

Don't Stop Believing..

Hey Gang! (taking up Luke's example..heh, sorry)
Check out what payed off from farming Cuthalla!

Yup! Training it to Adult while Mycins Silver Trumpets have to be taken care of too.
Go Lady Tigra! Special thanks to Cuthalla too :)

So, there was an inauguration PvP Party to Fallon's RR takeover (for awhile) tonight. Both fights I saw/was in were LONG.

Arrived late, watched 1/2 hour for the end of the one before. Then I joined one. Not sure how long it took... an hour, more or less. Very matched well, our side went first (Alric -"Tio", me, Cass - "Tia", and Allan, a Legendary Fire.) So, eventually the other side (Jasmine - Storm, KBB, Fallon - Storm and Erin "Panglou" - Life) got earthquaked a little too much (you know who's responsible for that, teehee) and all, so Kevin went down the hard way, my Medusa (above) stunning him and Alric finishing him off. KBB doesn't die much! Very fun, overall. Random singing of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" happened (maybe my favorite 80's song, Journey FTW. Title of this post too. Its a little annoying when my Dad sings it though -_-) so...yea. Don't Stop Believing in taking down KBB :P lol. Gratz to Fallon of course! :D. So, not much else has been happening; a little Death Cyclops farming (well, a LOT once I think about it) has been futile, Greystone is easy but plays hard-to-get xD. I'd post the music to the song, btw, but Blogger (or maybe IE) wants to close itself down everytime I try to. I tried *keyword: tried* to solo Briskbreeze today, but Forest Lord came within 2000 of killing and I died, but I know how to handle my deck for Orrick more now. I think I can pull it off tomorrow. The Helpful Wizard did it on a Life wiz, so why not? Happy PvPing!

Scorched Earth

Hey everyone! So, the last couple days have been full of PvP. I forgot to take more pictures though :/. So, Tarlac did a little 2v2 with Amber Rosepetal, so I nicknamed the team 'Scorched Earth'; a military tactic IRL and Scorched = Fire, Earth = Life. Today, it was a bit of 4v4 with, who else, but Arlen. Team was with Kelsey Fireheart (Fire), Angel Winterbreeze (Ice) and Diana Wildheart (Life). So, they kindly offered me on their team, and I developed a 4v4 deck.

lol, Kelsey looks like she's shaking a maracca. So, Scorched Earth and the unnamed 4v4 team were both 2-1. Ironically, the 4v4 team won its 2 battles while going second, and lost its only battle going first. And, of course, the other team wasn't exactly pleasant when we lost. "Dispel chainers"... I mean, really? Every once in a while, we'd put a good Ice or Life dispel up. Come on. And they were stunned once every few rounds, which is NOT chain stunning, that is EVERY round. But they didn't get it. Anyways, Arlen has a slightly losing record as it has been for a while, but is inching up to get past 500 and soon Corporal. Tarlac has gone on and off from Knight to Captain, but is now just a nudge over Knight and Captain :). I guess my 1v1 days are over, 4v4 is a bit less pressure if you ask me, hehe.
In other news, David & Dustin are leaving the Spiral. We'll miss your presence and blog a lot guys! But they'll still be on Twitter and such (but still, not the same). And, just want to clear up a misconception on Leesha: She clearly said she wasn't leaving FOREVER, but for a while (forget exact words, but I know its not forever). So, we'll miss her for the time being, but Leesha should be back in the future :).
Ok, thats it, I believe. Kingsisle is way too late on the updates coming into Live, so STILL hoping its this week :P. Also, Tarlac used up a bit of tickets for a Grand Cyclops statue for Arlen's future Statue/Pet house so yea... Happy Farming!

Sights of the Spiral - Grand Chasm Past

So, I was expecting the Test Realm to open into the Live Realm the past couple days, and make a blog announcement, which hasn't happened yet :P. So, 4 days is enough without posting ...

Well, first off, there was a unofficial PvP bash, with lots of people watching the "Team Perfect Catch" (consisting of the wizards in this photo, except me. And replace Ethan w/Fallon S.). I made this funny photo, check out http://www.livestream.com/xfire_kevinbattleblood for the days events :). Ronan changed into a Treant, made disco moves, HILARIOUS. So, a lot of people used up their saved Treant Morphs from long ago. I changed into an Elf & Krok to make up for that.

Random photo of the Stormriven 5. Some 'Magnifier' thingy accidently popped up so I zoomed in on this Forest Lord ;P.

OVERHEAL! Critical plus lots of different Guiding lights and a 14 pip Dryad, btw ;)

MEGALUS (Twitter. Funny name, like Panglou, lol) helped me out in Practice PvP by using this Medusa on me. I used all sorts of Myth shields, etc, (no absorb) and it hit 0. Also made the same sound as an Absorb would make while deflecting a hit, lol. (Alric's tweet pops up, forget that xD)

Another catch of TPC (Team Perfect Catch) dueling, and me eating up Angel. BACON! Okay, now into the Grand Chasm Past...

I've probably said this before, but I hate Dragonspyre. So, the only world not in a Sights yet was DS, so I remembered the Grand Chasm Past, which is the ONLY place there I really like. It reminds me of the Monkees Pleasant Valley Sunday for some reason. (Blogger isn't letting me post the music. Look it up yourself :P)

Ah... so serene. Trees like Triton Avenue, DS Pillars, MS Sky & water :).

The Volcano is even like Mooshu's! (Lets hope MS doesn't get into a huge dragon war O_o). How awesome.

NOOOO! CHICO! :O. Anyways, the water is awesome too. Actually not polluted and filled with lava.

Triton Avenue Tree! (seriously KI, why is that not a furniture item?)

And the big boss, who apparently likes to imitated Gurtok Firebender and needs a diet big time.
Another thing I like is Vasek Ashweaver's italian accent. "LORDS OF LIGHT!!!" (can't get enough of that saying). So, that's it, and farming in-game right now is for 8 Otomo's Naginatas for several houses. I only need 1 more, then some Domed Tree's for Mycin's MS house (MS House farming FTW) - - - Happy Farming!

{Insert Catchy Title Here}

You know I have trouble with titles sometimes (Exploiting Bacon a week ago... LOL)
Anyway, thanks for the well wishes last post. Went today, aced a History Test :)
So, this is mostly other characters news. Dugan started CL...

Okay, Rupert, don't misguide us like that! "ALWAYS carrying little pots full of algae..." I mean, really? Grrr :P

I captured a couple cool pictures while questing. Here's part of the "Sky-Fish".

Dugan poses after finishing the Floating Lands
Eww... are there rats falling in that stuff?
Stuck under a Worker's Tent can truly lead to some new experiences.
Mycin and Blaze finished off Celestia last week :D (Gratz on your Legendary status, too, Blaze)
Life Troll farming paid off... in another way. How sweet is that wand!?! Tristan & Chase are drooling for LvL 15 to use it, now ;). Valentina left the Spiral (to the world of Misfit Toys outside the Spiral or what?) so you have to wait one more year to buy or farm it from Krokopatra if you want it.
Tarlac attending one of the many KBB PvP parties. Epic fun. And, Fallon, why are you doing a Mary Poppins dance with that Balance guy over there? :P
This is mostly what I've been doing the last couple days. It FINALLY payed off a little. Grum finally dropped a Lion-ish Guardian Statue but Yakedo holds firm in dropping Diseased Wildclaws (I want 2 Statues, one for MS and 1 for Statue/Pets house, and 2 Wildclaws, 1 for GH and 1 for Statue/Pets house). So, yea, I'm REALLY into housing and pet collecting and all. Oh, the farming list is long. In other news, I won't bother you w/the biggest W101Fan contest, as thats on the Launcher... Fallon Storm is taking the place of Leesha, who apparently is taking a break I hear. I saw some of Ravenwood Radio last night, I personally think Fallon sounds like Ms. Narrator (compliment? :D). I believe thats it. I'm training a Fierce Hound named Chico that I hatched with myself and a Sea Dragon. So far, it has Tower Shield (deffz from Dragon) and Health Gift (I always seem to get that -_-). Hoping for Spritely at Ancient, I suppose. Happy Late Ditto Day, and Happy Farming! :)

It's Been Over 2 Years...

So, I was thinking of what to blog about. Paige Moonshade on Twitter said something about the near 2 year anniversary of Houses. So, a lot of my newbie memories came flooding back. I recently found out my 2-year Wizzyversary was in December, so I just missed it, but here's my story ;)

- "Hey, are you in Krokotopia yet?" asked my friend to another buddy of mine. "Yea, level 17!" and all this jabber went on with them in the bus for several weeks. I felt excluded, and my best friend kept bugging me to try a game called 'Wizard101'. I sort of put it off. Finally, one cold December night, with one of the first snows falling in Michigan, I tried it. Believe me, I didn't even know how to exit at first... I ended up shutting down my Computer! In exasperation, my friend explained the next day. 2 days later, I attempt to go into Cyclops Lane but... membership needed? I succeeded in begging my mom for a 1 month ;). My next memory is on the phone with my friend meeting in-game in Olde Town, and discovering Text Chat + beating Lord Nightshade on the same day. Next thing I know, I'm in Krokotopia and my friend is just about to enter Marleybone. It was a bit of a questing race ;D. So, I went to my friends house one Saturday and he was in Big Ben. "Why don't use Feint?" I kept asking when he was fighting minions, not a good strategist myself. It took a while, but soon I saw him in Mooshu. Next thing I know (my friends ITS name was Valkoor, a Death wizard) he basically quit as a LvL 39, pointing out its "addictive-ness" (We all feel that way sometimes, right? LOL). So, I continued, and I recall my other friend talking about the new world of Dragonspyre. I was fascinated at his description. I made it to Dragonspyre. (one memory is of me seeing someone in the Grand Chasm, floating in a glitchy spot, saying "THIS WILL BE MY HOUSE!" right before the Housing updates. lol.) Now, for a little pause how real-life was going at the time...

-It was 6th grade. My Math teacher LOVED giving out homework, which I often didn't do, but I usually aced the tests. One day on the bus, I almost had a panic attack out of nowhere. So, complaining I was sick when I got there, I went home. I soon found myself too nervous to go to school, so I was absent a lot and, when I got there on occasion -my dad basically dragging me- I found refuge in the Counselor's office and didn't attend class much. The Counselor was nice, listening to me state my problems, and would often push me into Class while I tried to push back, and one time, when I was about to go on the bus for the first time in months, the Counselor basically stopped the bus since I didn't go on, so it was either a 'be humilated or ride the bus situation'. I went in, and some people cheered. I soon overcame my phobia of the bus. (I despised you at the time for doing that, but thank you Counselor. A lot) So, near the end of the year and after many meetings and therapy, I attended school again full-time with a cutdown of homework on my part. Then, we moved to Maryland after my Dad found a new Pastor job here. It was pretty tough, and I was too nervous to go on the plane to see it that Spring, but I visited it the month before we moved by taking a 10 hour drive. Soon, my phobia of going anywhere was basically over. It was kind of sad to leave, but I didn't cry or anything. I remember the last day at church with my friend and preschool girlfriend (yes, her parents are family friends and we went to each others houses a lot in pre and Elementary school and played) having an extremely funny conversation on the phone with someone from our baseball team and playing outside. ANYWAYS, there was a lot of unpacking and tripping over stuff when we got here. Back to the Spiral at this time...

-I had basically quit Wizard101 for several months that Spring and a little of the Summer. Late one night, browsing on my computer, I found a site called The Friendly Necromancer. I looked on some posts, fascinated at this place called Briskbreeze Tower that I was seeing. So, I began playing just a little bit off and on, and started really playing again around October, seeing the Halloween quests. I also leveled Chase Deathcrafter, a Death wizard, and got stuck in Elik's Tower (Grand Chasm) because of a bug that wouldn't let me go down the floors. After I came back to the game, the bug was gone but I soon deleted Chase Deathcrafter because I realized his secondary schools and all were wrong, etc, a newbie character. I'm not exactly sure when, but I made Dugan Ogrethief, who still stands in my account to this day. Memory is a blur right now, but I made Arlen Dawneyes also, I think. Going back to real-life...

-Summer was fun. But 7th grade soon rolled around. After an Orientation and stuff, I started (not many people questioned who I was, because a ton of new 7th graders out of a K-6 school instead of the usual K-5 school came in that year, too). Late October, and I was getting anxiety in school again with lots of upcoming projects. So, I basically was absent a lot again till January. I did a little homeschooling with a program, and soon went to a couple hours of school. By the end of the year, I was going full-time again. Back to ITS...

-Again, memory is a bit of a blur, xD. Okay, next thing I remember is Arlen getting his Orthrus spell... I believe this was early 2010??? So, I had a good friend. Don't remember his name at all, honestly :P. I, in utter anger, found I had to do the Labyrinth AGAIN to get Orthrus (Ranulf Moonclaw, the guy you must beat, is in a tower in the Labyrinth). So, near the end I used a Cyclops with a lot of his traps. This led to an argument with him deleting me. Meh... he was very sensitive, I guess. But, a nice gal helped me out for the rest :). My computer, suffering overheating problems, shut down on me right when I was about to finish. I was crushed. So, moping around for a few minutes because of the backstabbing friend and computer, I remembered the Labyrinth would reset in 30 minutes! Quickly logging back on and running fast, I made it and finished Ranulf. Wootz! That March, my Dad would get a new computer so I could have his old overheating one for myself. I had it till this Fall (with many frustrating moments with it, like when I was about to finish a Kensington Park run and -SHUTDOWN-) , I think, then my mom got a new computer, and she rarely uses it (to check e-mail and to write resumes sometimes, basically) so, its a good computer and MINE now ;). Around this time, I also met a great person named Samantha Daisyleaf who's given me a few awesome gifts (such as Mycin's epic Shark mount!). She's probably been busy a lot IRL, haven't seen her around for a while. But, thanks again, so much, for your gifts and niceness, Samantha :). Now, the current era...

-In February '10, I found a site called DiaryofaWizard. It was sweet. I blogged on it every 10 days, basically, and soon heard about an event called the Ravenwood Ball. Excited, I got there, but it was extremely crowded and 3 AREAS were full in Ravenwood where it was. I was in the mob wondering who the "famous people" were. Stephen Spiritcaller, whom I heard had a podcast about Wizard101, appeared, which is the only "famous" person I saw according to the crowd, xD. Soon, everyone moved to the Life Tower, and found a bug to go onto the roof, and it was complete chaos. I was unbelievably hyper at this time, LOL. So, I also met a Malorn Willowsmith briefly in the Ball. He said he had a blog, so I checked it out (Sorcerer of the Spiral :)) and made my own, so he was basically my welcomer to this community. The rest, as they say, is history. Look at my old posts if you want to know more about making new characters such as Mycin and Tarlac. Now, I'll sum up my real-life for you up to now...

-8th grade. I lasted till November before anxiety pushed me back a bit, but I still managed to attend a little bit, but I was mostly absent till January again. I went back full-time when Winter Break ended, and have been going for a month. My anxiety is kicking up again, however, so I've missed a couple days. I'd like to apologize for kind of lying about my school life to everyone on Twitter, as it is a rather sensitive subject to me, and I'm finally telling about it now. Let me just say that #twizards and the community have given me a lot of inspiration, such as Jacob Thundersword and Jordan Seadreamer, who get all A's mostly. Kevin Battleblood has done so many great things ITS, such as petnome, and STILL does great with his work IRL as well, that also has given me inspiration. So, right now I'm stuck on a couple things I have to do for school, so I've missed several straight days out of anxiety. I plan to stop the sudden week-break later this week, so this is where I am now. I am only not doing well in French class, which I can do the homework (my mom used to be a missionary in Congo and is really helpful with it) but I often brainfreeze and fail the tests, the opposite of my other subjects, where I scramble by in the work but completely ace the tests. I'm a little depressed IRL right now, what with that is the middle of February -an often ugly month- and I've missed several days in school again. That basically explains stuff for you all, again, I'm sorry I've never disclosed my anxiety issues till now :). BTW, Andrew Pearlward was a complete newbie (Balance as a second school for Ice? lol) so I deleted him a while ago, and remade Chase Deathcrafter. Thats basically it, so Happy Valentine's Day I guess, although we should love everyone everyday :D. Sorry for the LONG text post, but that explains my life recently. It will always change, like a book. So, I will be in High School soon (yipes!). I have a therapist I go to every Monday as well, which helps a little bit.

Happy Story-telling!

Et tu, Dugan?

Dugan followed in Arlen & Mycin's footsteps today (I'd have Tarlac do it, but I know he'd easily finish off Mali. Wish I had tried at LvL 50 for him too ;))

Walking across treacherous paths with lava pits under. Brrr. So, after doing the 'preview-Crowns-house-in-middle-of-duel-trick' (which I hear won't be around anymore according to Test Realm. Dagnabbit!) to skip the Fire Gurtok, Dugan found himself in the Crown of Fire.

Ice Drakes can't handle Dragon's heat. Got a 'Pest Zapper' spell from one :)

After a few more Crowns-shop-previewing-houses trick to get more health after the minion battles and to go first vs. Malistaire (had to do it 4 times before he would surrender going first in this important duel) Dugan bravely confronted the evil Death Teacher (do I hear "Tenure for Dworgyn!"?), summoned a LvL 60 Life henchman, who was very un-selfish, but healed me a LOT at the beginning when I hadn't lost any health at all. Luckily, the enemies decided to go after the Life henchman, and killed her off just as I summoned all-might Dragon to throw the minions off the circle

Had I not finally found Dragon that turn, I may have eventually lost :o
With a load of buffing, Death/Myth shields (not that the Myth shields did anything. Dugan's 2nd school is Life) and a couple Sprites to escape further harm, 1 Helephant and 1 14-pip Heckhound later... (with all blades and traps -including Feint- I had, Heckhound did an astounding 4,950 damage on its 1st turn)

WOOT!

DOUBLE WOOT! Valentine's Wand... :D

I HAD to make that picture. Happy early Valentine's Day, all!

Sporting a sweet new badge from doing all of DS Academy's side quests, Dugan is ready to enter Celestia, and a 4th Grandmaster Wizard's journey through CL has begun.

lol, speaking of CL, glitchy spot in Stormriven which I thought was pic worthy.

And, lastly, Mycin and questing-partner Blaze Stormthief (I will learn how to link a name when I feel like it, lol. He runs the awesome blog The Word From Stormthief) overran the Chancel last night. Funny thing, it didn't make us fight Optio Vitale, the annoying Balance boss. Bug? Hmm. Oh, notice the badge from earning 23,000+ EXP after the battle? :D 3rd Legendary wizard! Just the Trial of Spheres remains, which we may do this weekend. ... Happy Soloing!

P.S. News from Twitter that Mega Snacks are now 'No Auction' in the Test Realm as well. *sigh* just like the Wayfinder $cheme back in Summer, huh? Darn exploiters, the $cheme was an accidental find KI should've found though. So was the Gardening exploit, although you could earn INFINITE rewards, o_o
