Valid Until July

Happy 2012!
And, fittingly, we go back to July 4th, with my Half-Year Goals needing an update---
  1. Finish 4-5 houses
  • Welllll....... I kind of slacked on housing..... save a couple items, I have improved and sort of completed several houses, though.
2. Get Balance & Death duo to Legendary
  • Balance duo = Level 60, on top.. complete!
  • Death duo = Well.. I just finished Krokotopia on them.. :P
3. Get a "perfect pet"
  • I have several pets with 2 of my dream stats, so this is half-complete but little progress since July. My dream pet would probably have: Spritely, MC Unicorn, Spell-Proof, ? undecided
4. Become Warlord in PvP
  • Tristan actually became a Commander only 2 weeks later, but I stopped and figured I'd get him to Warlord at Legendary.. which I didn't. Permission to kick 1/2 year old self?
5. Transcript at least 5 RR episodes
  • Well, I think KBB and the Crew suspended this project due to difficulty and increased business IRL, but I did get 1 done-though I forget which :P. Also, their first 2012 show is tonight, here's to a great new year for RR!
6. 70s song music video!
  • Ok, that was mostly a joke, but maybe one day! I actually got a Queen and Pink Floyd poster for Christmas, so my interest is still into the 70s, lol
7. All best gear for Legendaries
  • All except for Tarlac's boots and 2/3 of Dugan's gear, this was complete before ZF came out. And now ZF doesn't really have any better gear, so I could continue to work on this, but I feel ok with the gear they have :)

And, there's your update. Not too much success in following up on all of them, but oh well. Time for Beginning of 2012 Goals! (valid until July 1, 2012 :P)

  1. Get Death duo to Transcended, maybe another character to at least Grandmaster
  2. "Perfect/Dream pet" goal again. Its worth a shot!
  3. Complete at least 2 relatively new houses (maybe the Sun Palace I just got?)
  4. 5+ Grandmaster Artisans
  5. Get most of the Music Players... become a Warlord in Derby/PvP on 3 characters
Hope everyone had a happy holiday. I know my trip to my Aunt's farm and New Years was fun! Most importantly, here's hoping 2012 gets more goals done and is even better (despite the fact its an election year and has an extra day, right?).
Sorry for the no pictures post, I'll try to get some in-game updates next time. My death-duo is progressing well and just finished Hyde Park :) finished Emperors Retreat/Tomb of Storms over Winter break. Also, Final Exams and the end of the semester are coming up, so don't expect much W101 progress on the weekdays for the next several weeks.

Happy Questing!

Another One Bites The Dust

*Sorry, my band references are going further lately :P (Title)*

Without doing side-quests, my progress is going very far these past couple days!

After trying to 'Stop That Cat!', I cruised through MB and started on Katz Lab bright and early (ok, 2AM.. my Summer sleeping habits are wacky, lol) today, plus the Counterweights, before napping through the 3 hour maintenance. Oh, and the night before..

Judgement time! ^.^

Gah, it won't let me delete this pic --- ignore it (although a Mander can use Sandstorm!)

After some running around, I bumped into Reed Treever, who gave me the whereabouts for the Omnibus..

.. and ran into this cute little rat.

You can see what I'm up against. Thankfully, it let both of my Duo in together, so no soloing these baddies.

So, soon afterwards, I summoned a little Sandstorm for some final lesson.

Pretty big, no? And, is this yoga, by the chat? "And the more relaxed you allow yourself to be.."

Since I got Judgement, I figured, why not Adept PvP? It went better than I thought - started 9-1 :D here's my deck setup, treasure cards on top. (Once Tristan gains more Training Points, he can get Tower Shield for real)

Forgot to crop this - but if you zoom in, there's my school deck, plus shields at the go if I can tell what school the opponent is before clock runs out.

First I switched to dye-ing in Death style, but then remembered my many KIFG transformations. HERE'S where they come in use! And, posing above, I bought a Myth Imp as you can see ^.^ So, I posed as a Death wizard. Camouflage isn't required, but can be very helpful.

And here's the final count after a while. Figure I'll try to get as a Warlord once Tristan hits Legendary, maybe? I really like Balance as PvP. Judgement isn't everything, but I bring it out a bit. Actually, Spectral Blast can be underrated.

Watch out, horsie o_O

And, later this morning, Big Ben.

And shiny gear/badges! As I write this, I just Blasted the Plague Oni (hey, he's Balance, this is what Spectral Blast is for again!) out of the way, and soon head to the Ancient Burial Grounds, with both wizards at Level 35. Already? Like I said, its surprising how far you can get on a boring Summer day without doing side quests. 2/3 of the way through Mooshu! :)

Hopefully the duo will be mid-Dragonspyre, more or less, next time? We'll see. And about the Fiction, the quest to kill Meowiarty is aptly named 'The Last Meow' - the name of my story - and I didn't even recall that fact. All the better, then! Anyways, I'll post that when I'm low on material, sorry, don't want to make this post too long!

Happy Questing!

Don't Stop Believing..

Hey Gang! (taking up Luke's example..heh, sorry)
Check out what payed off from farming Cuthalla!

Yup! Training it to Adult while Mycins Silver Trumpets have to be taken care of too.
Go Lady Tigra! Special thanks to Cuthalla too :)

So, there was an inauguration PvP Party to Fallon's RR takeover (for awhile) tonight. Both fights I saw/was in were LONG.

Arrived late, watched 1/2 hour for the end of the one before. Then I joined one. Not sure how long it took... an hour, more or less. Very matched well, our side went first (Alric -"Tio", me, Cass - "Tia", and Allan, a Legendary Fire.) So, eventually the other side (Jasmine - Storm, KBB, Fallon - Storm and Erin "Panglou" - Life) got earthquaked a little too much (you know who's responsible for that, teehee) and all, so Kevin went down the hard way, my Medusa (above) stunning him and Alric finishing him off. KBB doesn't die much! Very fun, overall. Random singing of Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" happened (maybe my favorite 80's song, Journey FTW. Title of this post too. Its a little annoying when my Dad sings it though -_-) so...yea. Don't Stop Believing in taking down KBB :P lol. Gratz to Fallon of course! :D. So, not much else has been happening; a little Death Cyclops farming (well, a LOT once I think about it) has been futile, Greystone is easy but plays hard-to-get xD. I'd post the music to the song, btw, but Blogger (or maybe IE) wants to close itself down everytime I try to. I tried *keyword: tried* to solo Briskbreeze today, but Forest Lord came within 2000 of killing and I died, but I know how to handle my deck for Orrick more now. I think I can pull it off tomorrow. The Helpful Wizard did it on a Life wiz, so why not? Happy PvPing!

Scorched Earth

Hey everyone! So, the last couple days have been full of PvP. I forgot to take more pictures though :/. So, Tarlac did a little 2v2 with Amber Rosepetal, so I nicknamed the team 'Scorched Earth'; a military tactic IRL and Scorched = Fire, Earth = Life. Today, it was a bit of 4v4 with, who else, but Arlen. Team was with Kelsey Fireheart (Fire), Angel Winterbreeze (Ice) and Diana Wildheart (Life). So, they kindly offered me on their team, and I developed a 4v4 deck.

lol, Kelsey looks like she's shaking a maracca. So, Scorched Earth and the unnamed 4v4 team were both 2-1. Ironically, the 4v4 team won its 2 battles while going second, and lost its only battle going first. And, of course, the other team wasn't exactly pleasant when we lost. "Dispel chainers"... I mean, really? Every once in a while, we'd put a good Ice or Life dispel up. Come on. And they were stunned once every few rounds, which is NOT chain stunning, that is EVERY round. But they didn't get it. Anyways, Arlen has a slightly losing record as it has been for a while, but is inching up to get past 500 and soon Corporal. Tarlac has gone on and off from Knight to Captain, but is now just a nudge over Knight and Captain :). I guess my 1v1 days are over, 4v4 is a bit less pressure if you ask me, hehe.
In other news, David & Dustin are leaving the Spiral. We'll miss your presence and blog a lot guys! But they'll still be on Twitter and such (but still, not the same). And, just want to clear up a misconception on Leesha: She clearly said she wasn't leaving FOREVER, but for a while (forget exact words, but I know its not forever). So, we'll miss her for the time being, but Leesha should be back in the future :).
Ok, thats it, I believe. Kingsisle is way too late on the updates coming into Live, so STILL hoping its this week :P. Also, Tarlac used up a bit of tickets for a Grand Cyclops statue for Arlen's future Statue/Pet house so yea... Happy Farming!

Sights of the Spiral - Grand Chasm Past

So, I was expecting the Test Realm to open into the Live Realm the past couple days, and make a blog announcement, which hasn't happened yet :P. So, 4 days is enough without posting ...

Well, first off, there was a unofficial PvP bash, with lots of people watching the "Team Perfect Catch" (consisting of the wizards in this photo, except me. And replace Ethan w/Fallon S.). I made this funny photo, check out http://www.livestream.com/xfire_kevinbattleblood for the days events :). Ronan changed into a Treant, made disco moves, HILARIOUS. So, a lot of people used up their saved Treant Morphs from long ago. I changed into an Elf & Krok to make up for that.

Random photo of the Stormriven 5. Some 'Magnifier' thingy accidently popped up so I zoomed in on this Forest Lord ;P.

OVERHEAL! Critical plus lots of different Guiding lights and a 14 pip Dryad, btw ;)

MEGALUS (Twitter. Funny name, like Panglou, lol) helped me out in Practice PvP by using this Medusa on me. I used all sorts of Myth shields, etc, (no absorb) and it hit 0. Also made the same sound as an Absorb would make while deflecting a hit, lol. (Alric's tweet pops up, forget that xD)

Another catch of TPC (Team Perfect Catch) dueling, and me eating up Angel. BACON! Okay, now into the Grand Chasm Past...

I've probably said this before, but I hate Dragonspyre. So, the only world not in a Sights yet was DS, so I remembered the Grand Chasm Past, which is the ONLY place there I really like. It reminds me of the Monkees Pleasant Valley Sunday for some reason. (Blogger isn't letting me post the music. Look it up yourself :P)

Ah... so serene. Trees like Triton Avenue, DS Pillars, MS Sky & water :).

The Volcano is even like Mooshu's! (Lets hope MS doesn't get into a huge dragon war O_o). How awesome.

NOOOO! CHICO! :O. Anyways, the water is awesome too. Actually not polluted and filled with lava.

Triton Avenue Tree! (seriously KI, why is that not a furniture item?)

And the big boss, who apparently likes to imitated Gurtok Firebender and needs a diet big time.
Another thing I like is Vasek Ashweaver's italian accent. "LORDS OF LIGHT!!!" (can't get enough of that saying). So, that's it, and farming in-game right now is for 8 Otomo's Naginatas for several houses. I only need 1 more, then some Domed Tree's for Mycin's MS house (MS House farming FTW) - - - Happy Farming!

{Insert Catchy Title Here}

You know I have trouble with titles sometimes (Exploiting Bacon a week ago... LOL)
Anyway, thanks for the well wishes last post. Went today, aced a History Test :)
So, this is mostly other characters news. Dugan started CL...

Okay, Rupert, don't misguide us like that! "ALWAYS carrying little pots full of algae..." I mean, really? Grrr :P

I captured a couple cool pictures while questing. Here's part of the "Sky-Fish".

Dugan poses after finishing the Floating Lands
Eww... are there rats falling in that stuff?
Stuck under a Worker's Tent can truly lead to some new experiences.
Mycin and Blaze finished off Celestia last week :D (Gratz on your Legendary status, too, Blaze)
Life Troll farming paid off... in another way. How sweet is that wand!?! Tristan & Chase are drooling for LvL 15 to use it, now ;). Valentina left the Spiral (to the world of Misfit Toys outside the Spiral or what?) so you have to wait one more year to buy or farm it from Krokopatra if you want it.
Tarlac attending one of the many KBB PvP parties. Epic fun. And, Fallon, why are you doing a Mary Poppins dance with that Balance guy over there? :P
This is mostly what I've been doing the last couple days. It FINALLY payed off a little. Grum finally dropped a Lion-ish Guardian Statue but Yakedo holds firm in dropping Diseased Wildclaws (I want 2 Statues, one for MS and 1 for Statue/Pets house, and 2 Wildclaws, 1 for GH and 1 for Statue/Pets house). So, yea, I'm REALLY into housing and pet collecting and all. Oh, the farming list is long. In other news, I won't bother you w/the biggest W101Fan contest, as thats on the Launcher... Fallon Storm is taking the place of Leesha, who apparently is taking a break I hear. I saw some of Ravenwood Radio last night, I personally think Fallon sounds like Ms. Narrator (compliment? :D). I believe thats it. I'm training a Fierce Hound named Chico that I hatched with myself and a Sea Dragon. So far, it has Tower Shield (deffz from Dragon) and Health Gift (I always seem to get that -_-). Hoping for Spritely at Ancient, I suppose. Happy Late Ditto Day, and Happy Farming! :)

PvP & Partying

So, as you may have heard (that is, if you're a part of Twitter, DoaW and/or Facebook) Jordan Seadreamer, a fairly new blogger (I was her first in-game friend and welcomer :P) had a big IRL party last night, hosted partly by IcyWiz.

Soon into the party, not much viewing room. Computer, not surprisingly, was a little laggy

EFREET! Tarlac joined a couple practices, with a little success. That 4v4 team he was on somehow came back and won :).

Mini Flash-Mob outside the circle. Looks cooler with Wyldfire in there. DISCO INFERNO!

Was inspired to do some PvP on Tarlac today for the first time! 1st match was a Menu-chat Sergeant/Legendary Fire who was a little rude. Shielding with Towers and such at the perfect time, Tarlac managed a nice win after being hit by 5 Efreets. 2nd, I fought a Knight/Legendary Myth who had some skills, but Tarlacs Centaur managed to win after 10 minutes or so. 3rd, I had a tough match against a Sergeant/Master Balance who, I must admit, was quite good. When no shield was up, Tarlac pulled off a Centaur to kill after a pretty long match and a big Judgement that was scary. Thank goodness for those treasure Towers. Well, those first 3 I admit I went first each time, so I was probably a little lucky. Next, it was a Knight/Legendary Death who couldn't kill me, but his pesky shields, Sacrifices and a Reshuffle hurt. After an even match, Tarlac ran out of cards after half an hour or so. Very long match. Necromancer couldn't believe I had started PvP that day... "I usually manage to defeat Theurges much faster", lol. Next, it was another Knight/Legendary Death. Sadly, I couldn't find a heal until the last second when he criticaled for the second straight time and ended a quick 5 minute fight. Oh well. Did well for my first outing! I got the spell Conviction with Tarlacs last Training Point, too, after I managed to get Seargent (am now Corporal, as you can see.)
Thats the PvP Deck I crafted for Tarlac earlier. Any room for improvement? I've done well with it :) although I had a different LVL 56 Life amulet, but after the 4th battle mercy-loss vs. the Death, I figured, why not the Reshuffle one? Sideboard is full of Treasure Tower Shields, which I used a lot of money on :P. The Seraphs are for shield-offing and minion-killing, plus I have a Life wand. Regenerate is underrated and Dryad is overrated, if you ask me. Pet has some extra health-boost and Spritely, of course :D
Thats it, and happy birthday again, Jordan Seadreamer! I just entered last minute into the MOG Wizard101 House Contest, ending today too, which means my next post will show you my whole MB house :D. Anyways, if you have suggestions for PvP with a Theurge, post below. I can't camouflauge since Sebastian the Satyr is my best pet and my last name IS Lifegiver.
Happy PvPing!
