End Of The Worlds

First of all, there's a new layout for this month. As Spring is a'coming, that pretty but outdated winter theme had to go. And, hey, nothing's wrong with a little St. Patrick's wallpaper!

Hall of Valor -> almost done with Ravenscar

That's the last couple weeks in a nutshell.. I didn't quite finish DS and GH, but I'm pretty darn close. And I had an extra day! :P

The Jotun & brothers battle was pretty epic with just two level 42 death wizards. Cheryl and Chase were forced to under 500 health multiple times, as you can see on this finishing hit on Ullik:

That 1,059 health was very crucial, needless to say. It also looks like Jotun is breathing out some blue-ish air. Never knew his breath was that bad.

I didn't get anything good, but finishing this battle was enough for me :P

The duo also did the Labyrinth 1 1/2 times (remember the Obsidian Chest. Bleh.), and the Crystal Grove last weekend. These last couple of days have been the second part of the Drake Hatchery and Ravenscar (dang, that place is long). So, just the Forum, Great Spyre, and the last half of Ravenscar to go before finishing two worlds. Though Celestia and Wintertusk are long, that higher EXP is lovely :)

I also did a teeny bit of work on Chase's new Death house. So far, just the little skull path you can see in the front, some diseased mushrooms around the pool and one room inside the house. It's pretty creepy so far, and I'm finding myself more ambitious on furniture items here, as some I want are from the Nightmare Hoard Pack. Guess I have to wait until October to fulfill some items :P

Other than questing on the Death duo, a little housing and daily gardening, not much else to be included in this post. I did go to my first twizardDC "meeting" this afternoon. I'm all for a derby-racing club, and I had several fun races. Chico is a good racer and KBB is a good opponent! To come, just stop by the Pixie realm Pet Pavilion at 1 PM EST on Saturdays :) I'll take some pics next week.

Lastly, I guess I'll establish a new routine here by making a goal to do by 3-16:

- Beat that first area of Wintertusk who's name escapes me at the moment

- Beat the Survey Camp
- Get to level 45

- Work on one of my houses a bit

Similar things - beat X areas, work on house, etc.. maybe I'll do some crafting later on.

Don't Fear The Reaper

Well, 3 weeks. That's a record I don't want to break anytime soon.

So, how do you all like whats been leaked and released in the past week? I swear, Kingsisle just goes dormant on us then packs a flurry of new stuff that leaves you reeling sometimes.

So, first, Wizard101 took the GDC Online Audience Award this year! Which means... 2nd Yellow Elf pet for me! I was a little dissapointed, as I already had one, but at least my 2nd account has one now too and hey, its better than nothing. Congratulations, Wizard101!

Onto more recent news, the Super Bundle was revealed several days ago, the 3rd huge Gift Card from W101. I got to see most of the Palace the other day, and it is epicly beautiful and an instant notch on the early Christmas list. As Amber Unicornflower put it, "Here comes the sun (palace) and I say..

It's awesome!"

Couldn't agree more.

Went through, seems the Gorilla likes giving Blood Moss to me, and the only sound was the distant monkeys and birds. Again, me wants. Seriously. Oh, and the rhino mount? Duel-boxing heaven. Giraffe? Only pet thats about as tall as us.

Also, from Walmart! Totally want a Bazaar Tapestry. Its basically the same sort of rewards as the Super Bundle except a house and $10 cheaper. I can't buy everything, so I probably won't buy this, but its sweet anyway. That outfit is scary. If you like hawks and/or have plenty to spend, don't hesitate to buy one of these.

And, of course, the dreaded teaser to something, apparently a world-version of the Sun Palace.

Katherine Lightwalker and KBB translated the little symbols at the top as "DOWN IN THE DEPTHS". Hmm. Don't tell me we're going underneath the river?! As the purple elephants imply, I'm guessing that this may be part of the next world, Yugo, as mentioned in Wysteria, where the helephant lives. It would make sense, as most elephants reside in an African-setting. Luke Goldhorn points out that Wizard101 stated they make announcements only when it is extremely close to open testing. But, could this be a repeat of Celestia, where they slowly brought out the wallpaper characters and 5+ months of eager waiting? Looks like we'll have to wait for another teaser to speculate more.

So, that just about wraps up the News/Opinion section, so I'll give an update on what I've been doing these past 3 weeks:






On a whim, with a failed hatch but a good Derby talent Teen pet, I dived back into pet-racing, this time with Mycin, for a little bit. If you're out for the Pet Derby, Teen-racing is definitely what I would recommend, with the slowest waiting times. I guess I still had some moves and experience from Arlen's days, as the picture shows.. unbeaten except for a loss of connection once!







Losing connection can really stink too, as you can see.

That makes 4 Inferno Salamanders on main account now. Used to think those were rare. Almost have all characters done with the back-and-forth Halloween quests, also had a Saturday with a big farming spree of the Towers, but no luck. Looks like Kensington & Tomb of Beguiler goodies are severely limited this year, which, well, stinks.

The Nightmare Pack = another love/hate relationship! I spent 3k out of my 4,500 crowns, splitting 10 between myself and a few good friends/community members. Got the hat, which, IMO, is the best fashion-statement since Mooshu and symbol-clothing ;). Got a few other tidbits, pretty worth it, but its hard NOT to buy those evil little packs. Mount looks sweet, but I have enough as it is :P

Warlord,Wayfinder and Wackiness

I just got to Pet Warlord with my Life troll!

The only Pet Warlord I've ever seen besides me is Friendly so, this is pretty awesome :).

I won 3 straight races with him and the Big hurry talent, Teen racing is really easy for me but I'm bad at any other racing, Adult, Ancient pet racing etc.

And the new pets I've neglected to screenshot:

You can buy this at the Bazaar!!! It took me 10 minutes to pinch one :). Or if you want to farm it ( heck, it's not cheap ) you have to do the *groan* Warehouse and beat Estrakir and co. I think it has a pretty decent drop rate and the 2 times I've beaten General Stormclaw I got the Wayfinder boots both times. Ninja pig spell, If your a Grand Myth you MUST have this hat! It's basically the new "Grandmaster gear hat" for Myth. And it looks like a safari hat, pretty darn cool. And to the "wackiness" part. Here's a statment from JToddColeman:

It took a while for it to let me in too but not like many others who have waited many hours. And it seems like I said earlier we have the "missing items issue" up again. Many are reporting Mount/Pet/Wand missings. So it's a choatic day indeed, KI will have to stay up late with all the issues lately :P. And more breaking news! The Street sweeper pet is confirmed to be from Timmy Icepick in Chelsea Court, and TFN is having a raffle for it. Go get yourselves a Street sweeper! Happy Farming!

As I write this just past 4AM the Derby rank in my Character screen says 880-Commander. I'm usually finishing 2nd place or even 3rd nowadays ( in the beginning of the Pet derby I whooped everyone ) So lets say I get 2nd place for 4 races, that would mean I'm actually a Warlord in something! My only complaint is the sometimes ridiculous wait on this, when it is a shorter wait for once I usually have to race someone who is really really fast. But by the next time I post I should be there :). Plus I've actually been busy Tarlac-leveling, he's gone from LVL 18 to 22 from Collosus Blvd. to the Hall of Champions in 1 day! I did have 1 embarrasing defeat at Shai Nirini when he kept weakness-ing me and I had a horrid hand ;P. And LVL 22 means... new spells! Seraph and Kraken in this case, I released the kraken my first times on both bosses in the Throne room of Fire. Plus he's past LVL 20 so I had to use some of his own money since the gear for that is "No Trade" and his new look:

Robe is similar to "newbie" vestment but no worries, it gives awesome stats.
And this morning I used a lot of money on Fire Soup for my Firebat...

Fire-shot only gives 1% Fire Acc. and Disconcert is yet another no-ducking talent

Does anyone remember when there was a boss here ( side quest, Chamber of Chosen ) but they took him out? I remember reading on the W101 Forums that someone noticed there are 2 Soul Scavenger bosses in KT, I immediately realized that, one was here and the other one is in the Hall of Champions, they are both ghosts. So they must have noticed that and took the 1st Scavenger boss out, :).

A glitch! I was battling and suddenly my targets wanted to take a stretch so they walked off. So I had to re-do the fight ;).

Ravenwood Ball tonight - try to be there!

*My first post, yay!* Anyway, as shown on the Friendly Necromancer's blog, tonight is the Ravenwood Ball! Me and Lord Spike will do our best to be there, the details: 7PM EST, Realm: Vampire, Area 1, in Ravenwood. I also had a race with the FN ( Friendly Necromancer ) and a couple other pets in the Pet Derby today, FN's Frost cat Queen Abbey won both races and I finished last both times ( I just leveled up to adult ) so Lord Spike is trying to keep up with the adults ( and the races were in Ruffington Park which I HATE :P ) and ironically I won the next race which the FN was not in ( In Krokotep Pillar Raceway which is a lot easier ). Now I'm a captain and not a commander anymore... XD, I'm really just trying to get the Rat magician from Nigel Higgenbottom now and collecting pets and statues. My other characters are pretty much in limbo now: Andrew Pearlward LVL 50 ICE, Dugan Ogrethief LVL 46 Fire, Chase Deathcrafter LVL 45 Death, Mycin Thunderwraith and the new Tarlac Lifegiver LVL 7 Life. Arlen Dawneyes will be the first to finish Celestia when it comes out, Btw my other blog is on diaryofawizard.com/AndrewPearlward, I blog there about every 10 days. Happy dueling wizards!
